I played conqurer during the beta and gotten fed up with warden i wanted to go back to him. Tho it seems hes slower and way more sluggish then he was during the beta. Changeing guard and hitting anything that isnt afk have become way harder. I have no problem with guard switching when i play the warden. So my question is : Did they break something or is this intended ?
The conqueror seems more of a counter attacker now then anything.
Watch for heavy attacks, but your block there and throw a heavy attack. Or block a heavy/parry an unblock able, guard break then punish.
We do not have much in the ways of combos and only one feint so you have to play the waiting game.
the conq is heavily reliant on it's blocking abilities, the no chaining on block specifically, this allows the conq to guard break after nearly every block if close enough, the conq also has a deceptivly long range heavy attack which can be used against players hanging back, for peacekeepers that spam attacks(in my opinion the hardest class to beat while playing a conq) the best stratagy i have found so far is light attacks to disrupt the PK followed with a GB+heavy if your feeling confident add a shield bash and hope your heavy parries an attack or it will result in you taking damage. as a conq it is most defeintly recomended you provoke attacks on you by leaving your guard on 1 side for extended periods making some opponets thinking they have an opening, the other way i find very useful is the shield charge, the trick is, you rush at an opponet, if they are decent they will expect you to shield charge them and dodge to attack you, but if you dont shield charge, and just stop running when they dodge, lock onto them and block their attack, allowing you to then GB+heavy them, playing as a conq you will find the only effective combo they have is the heavy attack-shield bash-heavy attack-shield-bash till you are low or out of stamina, this is gonna make you seem spammy, which will upset some players, but since this combo can kill most people in 1 chain it's too good not to use. The conq also parries attacks when it starts it's heavy attacks, i have found this to be very hard to time, but, in a 1v2-4 situation it's amazing, i think the conq was made for unfair fights, strong defence with strong, easily countered attacks.
