in there quest for a reason to put in stupid micro-transactions they have made massive discrepancy between gear. the jump from normal and rare gear to Heroic in ridiculous.
no one new to the game is going to have any fun getting decimated by high end geared players.
or even like today for me, trying to level a new character, but when you join a game full of 108 geared players, it tips the scales massively in favour of those players.
it's getting more and more frustrating that i have to play the 2 characters i have with heroic gear to keep things balanced.
they either need to fix the gear (which they wont because it encourages people to spend money, or fix the damn matchmaking. i don't want to have what just happened, where i took a reown 0 lvl 1 character into a game and had 3 players on the other team that were renown 5 and 6 with 108 gear score, ****ing ridiculous

Some of the complaints on this forum are legitimate, but these ones are just sad.
"Encourages people to spend money" For gear? they can get for free? With ease?
The only real reason to purchase steel is the exorbitantly priced outfits that come with the particles, nobody is dumb enough to spend money on Steel just for gear alone. especially considering most of the good stuff is locked behind Reputation 3 anyways. That means they'll need to play and earn steel to even get up to the level to get gear.
There are many problems and issues with the game right now. "Ubi's greed" isn't one of them, their lack of communication is.

I don't have much gaming time these days but I don't see a problem with their gear drops/purchases. I have two characters at Rep 1 L3 and don't often see heroic gear players. I also don't really bother with PvP when I'm playing by myself or only one other.
Also, you can use steel to get gear chests that will net you some pretty decent stuff. It doesn't take long to get 500 steel by just playing. Have some patience.

Sure. You can buy steel to get packs, but without playing with a hero and getting them to at least prestige one, you'll be getting **** gear. So the microtransactions really aren't an issue.
The issue is not allowing an option to play 4v4 without Gear Stats. That being said, just because they have GS of 108 doesn't instantly mean they win and you lose. You can beat a 108 GS with 0 GS, just have to play smarter, when you get into a 2v1 or 3v1 is when it's near imposssible.
You could also play against AI since they aren't that dumb and can offer up a challenge while you level up a new hero.

but still doesn't change the fact that the grab between Rare and Heroic is ridiculous. i suppose you could blame the the matchmaking, but new players should not be thrown in with those of us with heroic gear, it makes it so one sided.
and yes you can still win 1on1, but in most of the team games, Revenge plays to much of a factor
