How to play Kensei against turtle?

As in thread, any advices vs shielders that rarelly even parry so parry baiting is meaningless and can escape every guardbreak?

I am 6lv prestige on Kensei and I hate that with such movepool I am unable to be any threat to the enemy just blocking and turtling. And kensei attacks even fainted are very easy to counterreact.

You cant do anything. Defense overall is too strong in this game but at least some classes have a way to break passive opponents. Kensei relies heavily on parries but against Conqueror who only uses Shield bash into light attack theres nothing to parry.

Tough one. If the enemy is really on point with blocking. Even feinting won't help much.
There are a few choices you can make when the enemy plays full turtle.

You can always turtle with them, and make it a staring contest.
Or you can try to go for feints and GB. Granted, they will most likely break out of the GB, but hey! Maybe they will make a mistake! It is better than just swinging wildly and get countered.
Lastly, if you are up against conqueror and hes doing the turtle, shield tackle tactic. You can probably try side-step attack when you know hes going for the shield tackle.

Not the best solutions, but its what we have to deal with.

If only our damage moves would not drain 50%+ of our stamina... Doing damage after 3 feints is unreal and will end with white stamina bar...
In short (tested): 2 Feints -> Grab -> Side heavy -> Unblock and cancel, and at this point you have no stamina at all and play on gray screen.

Like we do not struggle enough against turtles - there is no attack that can make some pressure.

What you can try against very defensive players is: when you press your "walk backwards" button and "attack" Kensei will do an attack with much shorter range. If you stay in midrange this way you can do a light attack that will not hit him into heavy attack (somewhat quick from a different direction) into unblockable top mixup.

This is of course somewhat risky, as he might attack you between the attacks, or parry the heavy (you can also make it short, or feint it, if he is not completely defensively). The opponent can of course just dodge away and the unblockable mixup isn't guaranteed to break a good defense either. But sometimes it can help against very defensive players and above all, it can break up the stalemate.

Not bad idea, I will see how it works .

    Looking for more creative tips.

Use your unblockable to force a reaction. If they don't parry, use your heavies for chip damage.

I wait for them to attack then dash side attack dash back. If they wont attack dash forward gb if broke dash side attack heavy dash back.

Mixing up the last combo with a UB heavy at the end just to test them. Yes its risky esp if your not watching your stamina with all the dodging but hey its all i got lol

Run around and go in and out of combat lock. Use movement as a feint. I also engage other opponents at the same time and dash or dash attack around giving me greater unpredictability in my movements and attacks.

Some good advice from other posters.

I usually find that x1 dash forward, a couple of paces forward side dash, forward dash, and GB heavy attack confuses them constantly. If they come at you than a L or R dash attack does the job of penning them in! The helm splitter does this too but you need to catch their advance early with this. GB and an R1. Keep mixing up the heavies with feints.

This pretty much like an earlier posters method, it works. The heavies seem to think that the Kensei will not sacrifice range. They are wrong: you Substitute range for power.
