I cannot believe that for an AAA game that cost millions of dollars to make has no dedicated servers. You have people that spend close to 100 plus dollars on this game if they buy season pass plus steel. Every time I try to play with my friends, my firends or I get dropped. This is rediculous. As a company, how did Ubisoft not spend the extra money on getting dedicated servers. Is there any response from the devs or community managers?
Is that why I see one post in four different general threads, today, 2/24, from an Ubisoft community manager?Originally Posted by Banicks Go to original post
I am thankful for this official recognition for our Problems. Please think about a refund/compensation for lost champtime/steel/xp for hours of waiting in a queue or getting disconnects beginning/mid/end of a match and receiving nothing.... we invested money for this awesome game, but changes need to be made before even thinking of a recommendation or to invest maybe more...Originally Posted by FredEx919 Go to original post
Absolutly, this is what defines a company. This is what seperates great company and "good" company. This is what defines a company like Blizzard and Ubisoft. Blizzard always do whats RIGHT and not what's more profitable. They ALWAYS have dedicated servers, they ban people by the THOUSAND, theyliterally have multiple post about it for each of their game. But poor little Ubisoft wants to save money on the servers instead of doing right by their playerbase.Originally Posted by PreachySpider88 Go to original post
They are showing interest in making the game better by changing certain classes and the GB mechanics. Which is cool but, they are clearly showing no interest at all for dedicated servers. The fact that they release this game without them as their final stance shows that, no amount of complaining will make them release dedicated servers. Why? Because their mentality is to save money to start with, and now that they sold the majority of their sells, they basically "have gotten us".
I was stupid enough to buy this instead of Overwatch, my friends are laughing at me! :/
So just details and no patch?.. Surely that can't be true.Originally Posted by FredEx919 Go to original post

Blizzard does alot of **** too
like:
Completly **** up Diablo fanbase
Content recycling
Expensive Microtransactions
the list goes on.
My point is all companys are there to make profit (in germany this is part of the definiton of what a company is by law) and some do forgett that reputation and customer service even if they are expensive at first bring more profit in the long run than fast money. Actually I believe Ubi knows this and P2P was not (atleast not only) implemented because its cheaper.
You guys are using AWS. Spinning up beefier AWS VM's would be better than the current implementation. You can even scale it down as your playerbase shrinks to zero.Originally Posted by FredEx919 Go to original post
What you've done is just passed the cost of having a heavier infrastructure on to us with a lackluster design.
You're opinion of their game here is irrevelant. If you don't like their game, wether it'd be Diablo or not, is just fine by me. I'm not trying to convince anyone that their game are good. I understand very well the notion of having to make a profit, it's only logical. But not releasing servers just to make MORE profit it's just dumb. By your logic, almost no game should release dedicated servers because it cuts into their profits right? A company is by law, suppose to make profit.... like really? WTF is this? Why was P2P implemented then? If it's easier to hack, lags more most of the time, etc ??? Please explain because I'm only seeing profit here.Originally Posted by Waynedetta40k Go to original post
edit* I never claimed Blizzad was perfect, they are not, no company is. But you want to talk about profit? The numbers speaks by themselves. You can talk **** about Blizzard but they clearly squash Ubi, maybe that's because they TEND (tend being a keyword here) to handle situation better. As far as reycling content goes, people PLAY! Look at WoW, they know exactly what they are getting into and they keep buying, unlike me and For Honor.
