You're not even trying anymore, that's just blatant trollingOriginally Posted by ThePollie Go to original postA dynamic, execution-heavy situation with 11 options is "broken game mechanics"? That's way more yomi than in neutral game. That's what makes fighting games good.
You've been proven wrong, no amount of memes is going to make you look smart here. Give it up.

The problem is that if you give that type of stuff to everyone, then the entirety of the game is predicated on cheapness, like MvC3, and not moment to moment skill and decision making... like Battlerite.
Proven wrong? "Hey, look at this string of random guesses that allow you to win" - That's your argument. At this point I don't even need to argue, you've already proven yourself to be a biased, obsessive turd hellbent on keeping the game as broken as possible to exploit and fulfill your ego's immense requirements.
But, hey. Like I said. Assassin main.
I bet you think feints and footsies are random tooOriginally Posted by ThePollie Go to original postAt this point you're simply arguing that yomi-intensive situations aren't healthy for fighting games. The most hilarious part is that you're probably serious.
Like I said, any respectable fighting game community would laugh you out of the room after everything you've said here. I really hope people like you aren't Ubisoft's target audience, because if that's the case, this game is going to be a massive flop when it comes to any serious competition. Nobody's going to bother with a glorified QTE that doesn't reward you for making good reads.
Hey, don't underestimate Ubisoft's ability to market to the braindead and non-reactive. They made Wildlands, didn't they?
"Yomi", though? You can say mind-game, but I understand if your pretentious need to appear grander than you are has led to an obsession with using as ***** a phrase as possible. Feints are fine, you can see what is happening and made a decision based on that. Your oh-so-precious "yomi" spam is little else but a braindead tool for fearful toddlers to spam in hopes of clutching a win with as little effort as possible. Which, obviously, means it's no surprise why so many defend it.

Did they really censor *****? That is a legitimate word and I am upset that this age of crazed political correctness has become this oppressive.
As a Warden main I have one single solution for you. Dodge-*wait for it*-backwards. holy ****! Suddenly, not only are you out of range of his guardbreak if he decided to grab you, and now you are free to wack at him while he lazily shoves towards you. Done.
On a side note, you guys complain about the Warden, have you never dealt with a good Conqueror? That's literally his entire deal. What's worse, is his shield bash is not only spammable to hell, but it he can drain all your stam away. What's better, is his all-block can be activated faster than you can attack, so should you dodge him he can pop his all-guard faster than you.
Have you ever fought a highly skilled Conq? Don't bother attacking, he'll just parry you and punish you. Don't play defensive, cause he'll just bash you (especially when you're stuck against a wall). Then if he wants to end you quickly, he'll do his sprinting bash and hit you while you're down.
And yet who is getting the buff come this patch?
All I'm saying is, if you're going to ***** about one character, think about say, the Orochi, who all he has to do is Parry=two free hits. Parry=two free hits. Who's screwed now? What about the Warlord's Headbutt? Attack, he just parry's you, or better, while you're stunned from block, headbutt combo. Try to grab, CGB. Now try to get around his defense? If he doesn't attack, and can't be grabbed, what do? Exactly. You can ***** about every character one way or another.
Dodging backwards will be caught by the guard-break, I've tested that. Unless you mean rolling, then yes, that will work. Unless you're already out of range, dodging backwards does not work.
I've honestly not seen one Conqueror since release. For all I hear of their overpoweredness, I have literally not seen one.
I'm seeing some very creative ways to abort and punish my combo on Warden. It's a guessing game for me too, whether I should use a raw shoulder-bash, cancel it early into a grab, cancel it late into a grab, cancel it all simply when facing assassins and other wardens, those with any form of light attack can brutally interrupt the combo whether the shoulder-bash is raw or cancelled into a grab.
But let's not forget the other parts around the formation and destruction of this combo: If my opponent doesn't allow me to make a successful GB, hit him with light attacks, make use of my crushing-counterstrike or be hit with a raw shoulder-bash, the combo's never born. Next, rolling away doesn't put you at disadvantage, I'd be crazy to chase with my Warden should I fail the combo, especially if my opponent knows which side my running-attack comes from (many people are starting to parry that thing), it can instantly turn into a disaster. Thus, by the time we're back to a generally acceptable pace, everyone has his stamina back.
I very rarely make use of the combo at all against experienced players, it becomes a poking/counter-attacking contest where I use the shoulder-bash as a deterrent or a way to fish for parries, much like an Orochi's storm rush.
Even though your sarcasm seems to indicate that you think this should be obvious, it's pretty much universally understood that if you want to reply to someone outside the OP it's standard procedure to quote them and not just hope that people can read your mind.Originally Posted by ThePollie Go to original post
