    Neutral Colour Palettes

I think that for Brawl and maybe Elimination, the Neutral Colour Palette scheme chosen by the player should be used when fighting opponents. The player names should stay Blue and Orange for their respected teams though.

I feel there isn't enough gamemodes that showcase the Neutral colours and the only one is Duel, which for some reason almost always has 'Low Activity'.

The For Honor Customization video even says that 'you can use the Neutral Colours for Duel and Brawl', so why not live up to that? Seeing as no Gender-Locks has also already been confirmed in the same video by saying 'you can change the gender for SOME heroes', why not change this instead?

I understand that making new genders for the classes that are locked to one gender will be extra effort and stuff, but the colours on the other hand, are way easier to implement, and can be set to be used in Brawl and possibly Elimination instead of Attacker and Defender colours, while keeping the player name colours the same, blue and orange, to know who your teammates are.

I would not recommend this idea for Skirmish though cause the troops are blue and orange, so it would be confusing, even with coloured names.

No need to change Skirmish, but Brawl and Elimination could have neutral colours patched into the game in the future, seeing as there are no AI troops in the game (not AI Heroes, that's different).

    Thanks for reading!

I just realised that this idea is implemented in the 'How to Play' Free Mode, which I played recently and really enjoyed using the Neutral Colour I selected in an endless version of Dominion.

This needs to be added to more modes online, especially Brawl and Elimination.

Brawl, yeah. It's clear enough who's who. Elimination? Not really, I would say keep the team colours there.

Fair point and reasonable logic there.

I actually thought the same thing at first, but then I thought, if you can distinguish who is who in Brawl if colours were how I am suggesting it should be, then why shouldn't it be the same as Elimination? More players? 4 more isn't too much.

And plus, do you look at player names to distinguish who's who on teams more, or look at their actual outfit?

Some color schemes are confusing as the Primary colour may be White, Secondary Red, and the Tertiary blue, but if you pick patterns that hide enough Red and choose giant, space consuming symbols, it'll look as if the Secondary colour is Blue and the Teritary is Red, which really isn't the case and can confuse players.

It's happened to me and it's happened to my brothers who also play this game, AND, unintentionally, one of my brothers set up a colour scheme that made it look like he played for the opposing team. Again, not intentionally...

So that's why I think it should be for Elimination and Brawl. We don't see enough of the Neutral Colour Palette Schemes in game and we should use it more to give more diversity and somewhat immersiveness into the game.

Again I say, definitely not Skirmish or Dominion as those modes have minions, capture points, etc etc...

I wish we had color palettes that had a clear side of the wheel and what's that mean well if you have your original material paint would only cover part of it and then the other part where paint would be there would be the original material showing through.

I am confused, what do you mean by that? I think I roughly know what you mean but I just want to be sure...

A clear corner of the wheel that when a pattern is implemented or if you have a piece of armor that you have to have color on no color is implemented on that portion of the wheel and it allows the original material that it's covering to show. That's ultimately you might have only one color showing on the pattern I think that would be pretty cool

In 1.09 we made neutral color-swatches available as defender/attacker - so it should work for brawl/elim too I believe.
As for genderlocked heroes, some are available as either male/female, and other heroes are genderlocked. It's a design decision we made and probably won't be changing that anytime soon/

Oh that sounds awesome (still actually don't fully get it but I understand it more now)! What about for the Warden, say? His/her big, cape, thing on his back, you can't change the material of that, so how would that work? I understand completely with the metalic parts however.

    Hey UbiNoty!

    Nice to (virtually) meet you!

Are you referencing my idea or BudgetParrot118's idea? Or both?

And if it does work in Brawl or Elimination, how do we toggle it? Is it just an option or...?

And about the genderlock thing, I understand completely (as much as I hate the desicion, haha, ha, ha.... (R.I.P. Dream of Male Peacekeeper)), and I've moved on from that, although I found Peacekeeper to be my main at the time and I wanted her to be a male, as I thought you could change the gender of all characters as that was what seemed to be suggested in the Alpha. Every class had a Male or Female option, allowing me to assume, Male Peacekeepers, Female Lawbringers, etc, would be a thing. Oh well. The dream has died now and I can only hope to find another main...

Right now I'm with Shinobi, but even then I find him/her hard to play. And my playstyle is practically the Assassin classes, and dual wielding etc etc, so Peacekeeper and Shinobi are perfect for me, but for some reason, they aren't? Does that even make any sense? Who knows?

I am however happy that 'In 1.09 we made neutral color-swatches available as defender/attacker - so it should work for brawl/elim too', as I have wanted that to be a thing for a long time. Well, that is if I am reading the situation correctly. If I'm not then, well I don't know.

    Help, I guess?
