You might wonder why we had 100k + ppl online in prime time in the very 1st couple of days of FH release, and now we barely have 45k +.
Do you ask yourself this Ubi , or you made enough money and you dont care if the game goes down or not. We do care as we paid alot money for this pre alpha stage.
After a quick research I have put together most important reasons made people leave this game.
1- server connection. Man, it is 2017 and you come up with peer 2 peer? Blizzard did dedicated servers 14 years ago. Even WOW private servers got dedicated servers to play on. I thought Ubi is a leading gaming company.
2- all the ip hack disconnect + cheating via scripts, common things in a p2p connection
3- lack of in-game comunication. In case you havent noticed yet Ubi, you have created an online game . There are human beings playing it. You still need to give them the minimum common sense comunication tools. Like a general chat, adding friends ingame, wisper tool.
4.ingame issues like 2 buttons tanks abusing every other class, lack of reality in those grab and throws. I really think people could have lived with this . But 1-3 points... comon man, it is 2017! Show some respect to people who have paid a minimum 60 eu to test your game as this release is nothing but a paid beta.
I bought this game and I regret it.Thx God I am not dumb enough to buy your season pass.
You failed hard with something that coulda have been one of the greatest pvp games. This might not be the main issue.
The fact that many others like me aint gonna buy any of your games in the future might become your main issue.
Word spreads fast. I wish you GL with your company image in the market.
I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I'm wondering what other percentage of folks are experiencing similar issues to myself.
So my computer is currently under-spec for the game, and I knew that going in-- in fact, I don't even have a discrete gpu at this point. With all possible graphics options set to minimum, my integrated chip can squeeze out anywhere between 6 and a blistering 15 fps. It's far from ideal, but believe it or not, it's actually playable-ish. It was good enough to power through the campaign in a day, and actually is decent enough for compstomping in multiplayer (although I of course get auto-kicked for lousy framerate when I try to match against other players.. fair enough, I suppose).
Thing is, though, with the "hotfix" that dropped the other day, I can no longer even launch the game. It used to be that when you'd launch the game, it'd freaking launch, and then you'd get a little pop-up notification in the upper left corner from Uplay that'd tell you your rig was garbage and the game may not work very well; it'd still let you play, though, if you wanted. Now, I can't even launch the game. The For Honor splash screen comes up, I get hit immediately with an error dialog box that tells me I'm under-spec, and then it just sits there in my process list not doing anything other than hogging performance until I manually kill the process.
So, please pardon the bit of a rant, but if I had to wager a guess, there's also some percentage of people who have apparently "quit" the game already that just can't launch the frigging thing as, like myself, they are no longer able to even access it due to inferior hardware that worked JUST FINE before (although not optimally, of course) that now just won't.
That's ridiculous. You can't complain the game doesn't work when so far under spec. That's what minimum specs are for.Originally Posted by UlfgardOfridr Go to original post
You misunderstand. I'm not complaining because performance is "bad" or anything like that. It ran well enough for me to complete story mode and get a few days' worth of multiplayer fights in against the AI. I'm complaining because, post patch, I now can't access the game AT ALL even though I could last week.Originally Posted by SeeNoWeevil Go to original post
Obviously, I don't expect to be able to match up against expert players (or against players at all, as the game auto-kicks you from PvP for having sub-30 fps); I'm just surprised and salty because now I can't even get past the game splash.
Edit: In fact, here. Proof that I'm not just talking out my ***.
I get that minimum specs are there for a reason, but what I don't understand is why the metaphorical rug was pulled out from under me so abruptly.
Concurrent players are almost always highest on launch and the first weekend. People are excited to play early on and then taper off and play with more reasonable schedules as they have to take care of daily responsibilities. This isn't unique to For Honor. Almost every modern game experiences this.
No, you are in fact a moron, as beating the campaign has nothing to do with network issues. God damn, people are dumb. All you're doing with your shtty pc and shtty internet is ruining the game for others. Please stop doing that.Originally Posted by UlfgardOfridr Go to original post
Tazimuss he wasn't referring to network he was talking about system specs. Before patch he could at least play the game solo mode but now is barred from it .As guy said, many people play in first week because of hype and excitment . You know next week switch , Zelda : breath of the wild, Horizon Dawn is coming? There will be a drop in players next week too. It just this game month is the best we had is some time. Nioh , Dragon quest 8 . A lot of good stuff is here.
Thank you. I'm glad that you, at least, seem to understand the root of my complaint. The network has always been pretty good for me, so I'm certain that's not the issue. I appreciate your reading comprehension skills, good sir.Originally Posted by killerbyte01 Go to original post
The minimum specs apply not only to the first release, but any patches that occur later. They can't avoid making certain modifications because it may stop the game working for people way under minimum spec. If you buy the game when under spec, you're taking a big gamble.Originally Posted by UlfgardOfridr Go to original post
-we can't invite friends to on active session.
-For no reason we have to restart the game after a ''freeze to main menu'' cuz group is disolved.Cant re invite your friend in.the invite does not work and have to restart the game.
-non sense match making
-People quit after the match to search a new matchup you try to talk to someone and first thing you know everybody is gone...pouf like that.
-Some heroes are just a plague and not fun to fights against
-Legde throw is cool but feel more like a lottery to me.You need a new move called a counter throw .if at least you could drag your opponent with you off the cliff people would think twice before only aiming for throw. !
It seem like who made the online multiplayer system never really play multiplayer games !
And the game is in exactly the same condition it was in BETA.All the same problems remain
