So i became prestige 3 yesterday and spended 15k steel (self earned) to get to item lvl 95.

I have to admit that I don't feel the difference all that much.

And I kinda feel bad now for spending all that steel for "nothing".

Also: Why would anyone buy steel from the store to buy gear, that doesnt make you any stronger.

Am really dissapointed.

How you guys, the better geared among us, feel?

I went 4v4s with 39 gear score and kept meeting the same Warlord holding a point who had 108. He was absolutely garbage and I could run rings around him, but as soon as I got him to 2 bars of hp left he got revenge - from a 1v1. He'd then kill me if he landed a single headbutt since he could chain it into jumping heavy back into headbutt, and it only took 3 to kill me.

Go play some duels. See how your character acts, how much damage you do, how much damage you take, all the silly stuff.

Then go to domination and be amazed how much better you suddenly are. The difference is rediculus, and I don't even get me started on revenge.

Yeah, gear don't make you stronger...

I am literally walking on the whole level and doing 3 versus 1 without any problem... Dominion become a promenade when you get heroic stuff.

Maxed out stamina cost reduction allows lawbringer to fight for way longer without having to rest. Revenge gear gives near instant revenge in Xv1's and with maxed attack allows you to 2-3shot undergeared / non-defense geared opponents.

There is definitely a big difference. Mind you, the gear itself won't win games for the enemy if you play smart in a 1v1 fight, but it sure as hell tips the odds against you.

Go play some duels. See how your character acts, how much damage you do, how much damage you take, all the silly stuff.

It also helps that most people suck in Dominion, the difference in skill and whining about ''OP" (counterable) combos is astonishing.

Yeah, the gear's advantage is pretty miniscule. The reason to buy it is mainly for the looks. It gives you a slight edge and helps you kill people faster, but if you aren't already skilled at fighting it isn't going to amount to much.

People upset that the gear allows enemies to 2 hit them, which is already an exaggeration, and I'm over here killing raiders with a sliver of health.

Its not an exaggeration I did 2 shot an orochi from 100 to 0 after he triggered revenge by dmging me 3 times.
I gave him Zone attack parried his top attack which made him fall to the ground and finished him off with an overhead heavy want video proof?

Same feeling here, gears does a huge difference, even with my renown 1 Nobushi at 42 gear lvl I got wrecked by a Raider (which is technically one of my easiest match up) gear lvl 1O6 because I was doing like no damage to him when he just needed two strong to kill me...

I just want to play a second character but **** that, i only get rep 6-8 player.

guess ill be stuck with my rep 5...
