A call to action! - Winning the faction war!

So, we're not doing well in the faction war at the moment, which means it's time to start fighting with our heads, not just our swords. With that in mind, here are some tips on how to maximize our impact in the faction war.

    1. STAND AS ONE!

Currently, matchmaking does not preferentially match factions. This Means that any game bigger than 1v1 you go into, there's a risk that you will be matched up with the FILTHY HEATHENS. Moral implications aside, this means that your win, is their win, and undermines our efforts in the faction war. Now while we, as knights, will obviously outperform the barbaric filth, i say give them not an inch. Therefor, group up with other knights. This way, Victory will benefit our faction, and our faction alone, while starving the enemy of points. Even when performing more poorly, this will ultimately result in more points for us.

    2. STRIKE WHEN THE IRON IS HOT

Fighting within the last hour before a territory update will give you a +20% bonus to asset gain. Keep an eye on the clock, and if possible, put as many games in as you can in this timeframe. Every bit Counts, and 20% is a substantial bonus, especially if combined with the other tips on this list. If you only got an hour to play For Honor, try to make it the hour that counts the most.

    3. STRIKE WHERE THE ENEMY IS!

Deploying your assets to a front corresponding with the gamemode attributed to that front, will give you a 20% bonus to assets. Therefor, to maximize our gains, focus your attention on the game modes attributed to the frontlines between us and the vikings and samurai. One of the game modes will almost always be focussed on the front between the vikings and samurai, and as such playing this mode will yield little to no bonus. Avoiding this gamemode and focussing on the game modes that will give you a bonus, will go a long way to pushing specific fronts.

    4. STRIKE WITH PRECISION!

Be sure to deploy your assets between each fight. If you do not, they will be divided equally between all provinces in contest. This Means that assets will potentially be wasted on provinces that are already overwhelmed by one side or the other. Putting your assets into a concentrated strike is much more likely to yield results than to spread them over a wide area, especially if one side or the other is already dominating.

    5. SWAY THE BALANCE!

Deploying assets tactically can be the difference between losing or gaining provinces. When viewing a front, focus your attention on provinces that hang in the balance. Often you will see a 50/49 difference in a province. These are the ones you should focus your attention on first. either to flip the balance, or secure a lead. Provinces with, say, a 54/45 difference are either already secured, or will take a far more significant Investment to conquor. Aim to make the most gains with the least assets whenever possible.

That's all i got for now, anyone got anymore ideas let me know and i'll add them.

How do I see if the scumbag Samurai ( no offence meant to Samurai that are in the Knight Faction ) are in our faction or the enemy that are in my team in dominion of Elimination for example
Simple question from a simple squire learning the Knights Code

you can see it on the shape of their emblem. Knights have kite shield shaped emblems, where as the vikings have round shield emblems, and the samurai have square shield emblems.

Would it be plausible to play as a conq take objectives not kill fellow Knights on the opposing team make sure I'm top on the points by tactical play lose the game if playing against more Knights then in my team or win the game if more Knights are in my team. Is this strategy honorable.

Will be joining a PS4 Knight community tomorrow. Also it's half term in England this week may explain the map lots of kids of school and college

Well, that explains much, as many, many players prefer the duel modes, and those are 90% of the time at the Samurai/Viking front.

Anyways, thanks for those tips, some were new to me, so now i can use my assets more effectively.

well, it's a plausible strategy, although a bit underhanded one most say :P

Certainly i'd never advocate doing anything dishonorable, but in terms of efficiency, it's pretty valid. Actually, the best thing to do, in theory, would be if you could play full knight teams against full knight teams to maximize point gain without risk, but there's no way to guarantee that outside of custom games, which don't award assets.

    Sorry for self-quote, but:

Actually i seem to be right, because now where the entire Knight front lies at the duel bracket (wich all players, even those with connectivity issues, can play) the Knights seem to take all possible locations with ease.

So i guess this "fighting in the right zone" thing has quite the impact on the outcome of the faction war. balance wise i wouldnt mind if it would go, and the Bonus is instead given for manually placing assets or be erased from the Game completely, as the faction war, in my opinion, should not be decided on wich game mode players prefer.

Seems Knights dont play bad, they just prefer the 1v1 modes, so they werent able to see the light because their assets have been cut due to 20% extra for fighting "the right mode"

Well, actually Ubi should have a look at this, because if I'm right, thats quite the issue.

BTW: Its late, late night time in Europe, so i guess this "Knights live in England" argument is debunked.
