Keeping in mind that the game is more or less Multiplayer-focused, I just wanted to note something of a discrepancy regarding social options.
From the first moment I tried to group with someone in-game, I saw something that could only be described as a very bad way to promote "group play".
The social window basically only allows you to invite friends you've already added in Uplay to your party. We'll get to that later.
There are 3 (three) Report options, one Kick option and 2 (two) Mute options. And that's it. I mean, if someone wanted to warn me about a toxic online community, that would probably be one of the best ways to do it, if you understand the vibe these social options send out.
So yea, I was prepared for racist/offensive emblems, insults, ragequitting, everything a player gets accustomed to when playing online.
So imagine my surprise when more than half the people I end up in duels or brawls are actually pretty decent guys whom I'd like to join for more games, learn from and possibly form teams with.
However! There is no easy/simple way to either add a friend in-game or even accept a friend/group invite. Using shift+F2 every single time you want to accept an invite is simply ******ed and I loathe the way this game forces me into it, almost as much as I hate Uplay as a platform. PLEASE DO NOT SHOVE IT IN MY FACE so damn often! Accepting group invites and adding friends should be as easy as Reporting people, or kicking, or muting them. Realize what you're promoting with the way you set up social actions.
The group menu lacks in EVERYTHING a healthy online community could benefit from. There is no chat window between matches, no lobby chat, no in-game Add Friend options, not even a simple "Give Leadership" option, just in case you want a toilet break while your friends set up the next game. For a multiplayer game released in 2017, striving to balance on a not-yet-thoroughly developed P2P system, these are essential options and QoL features that should be implemented.
Please, consider adding more option to the social menu. Consider adding a consistent text chat window, one that persists through loading screens. Consider a Clan/Guild/Caste system within factions. Help this game's community grow.
