How the **** is this even a thing? It is a guaranteed loss when hitting the opponent gives them revenge in 2 attacks and they 1 shot you with a heavy after you've been knocked down by the revenge activation. This isn't even half of the matches I have had to suffer through.
Thanks for being ignorant and providing nothing with your post. Higher level gear only unlocks as you get high reputation. It is impossible to get gear level 100+ at rep 1. The problem is the match making. Do you see a pattern in the screenshots or do I need to spell it out for you like a child?Originally Posted by FRAKTICA Go to original post
I'm sorry but you either don't play at a high level or you're just ignorant.Originally Posted by FRAKTICA Go to original post
Full revenge gear easily triggers revenge even in a 1v1 and it so dramatically outclasses all other stats that no other strategy has a place. The only counter is to have your own 108 Revenge Stack fight the enemy 108 Revenge stack.
The issue is that, as you so conveniently overlooked, higher level gear gives more stats than it takes away. Therefore a player with better gear has MORE stats not just DIFFERENT stats. My fully revenge stacked conq has no real drawbacks besides taking extra bleed damage. Several of the stats also just don't function properly, my stamina cost reduction bar is as low as it can possibly go but my attacks don't actually cost extra stamina.
tl;dr
Gear is a hilarious advantage and you're just fooling yourself if you think otherwise. Matchmaking NEEDS to take gear into account for this game to survive more than a month.
You tried making him look stupid for whatever reason, now you're the one that looks stupid.Originally Posted by FRAKTICA Go to original post
Did you even take a look at the screenshots anyway?
Fraktika, even though it's obvious the idea does not pop into existence in your mind you actually presented yourself like an arse in this thread with no substance at all to back it up. Just stop it, the days of respecting forum ninjas is long past. The OPs point is valid. His own gear has no influence on triggering revenge. Revenge gear is broken and second, there should be no revenge in duels at all.
Simple.
Re-rem made it his mission to be the first Rep 30 player in the world. Literally all he did for the past 2 weeks was no-life the game and get a couple of hours of sleep a night. Holding him up as some sort of example of what the average player can do is ridiculous.Originally Posted by FRAKTICA Go to original post
That match-up looks pretty fair, actually. Sure, the Bot is a disadvantage, but that might have been an 80+ GS player who left/hasn't quite joined. In that case, the 19 GS guy and the 38 GS guy are fairly close, all things considered.Originally Posted by k3rr3k Go to original post
And sure, revenge throws things off, but people also don't seem to know how to fight someone who has revenge. Certain classes can exploit revenge more heavily than others, but if you have multiple people against someone with Revenge, and the Revenge person gets aggressive, it's up to the person who is being attacked to defend themselves, and it's up to the person who isn't being attacked to apply pressure and bust down the shield to start doing damage.
So yeah, gear is a thing. They should probably adjust stat distributions on gear, or the impact of certain stats. But honestly, with gear and feats, 4v4 is just a fun little ****-show anyway. If you want to really measure yourself against an opponent, you'll either do 1v1, 2v2, or have a 4v4 team that scrims in custom matches against other 4v4 teams with gear/feats disabled. I queue for Dominion when I just want to tool around in a more dynamic world than a straight-up 1v1 match.
So what if you are mid-attack when your teammate hits an opponent, they get revenge, and they use it immediately to knock you down then follow you up with 3 bars of damage from a heavy. Does it make you less a player that you died once to a thing in the game? No. Does it make the other person some grandmaster player? No. It's one kill/death among hundreds/thousands in a one-off pub game.
