I am trying to decide which to main and pump xp into, got them both around 2rep at this point. Kensei seems middle of the road, not exactly powerful, but certainly not bad. Nobushi seems up there in terms of power rankings maybe top 5 for sure.

Thing that bothers me the most right now is kensei seems to lack a lot of tools that nobushi and other classes have.

As far as I understand right now

Things kensei has that nobushi doesnt:
>dashing GB
>guaranteed stun on throw
>dashing side lights
>triple hit chain mechanic, unblockable overhead heavy/hyper armor side heavy and ability to soft feint top.
>more forward momentum on attacks(?)
>faster guard swap

Things nobushi has that kensei doesn't:
>bleed
>passive that increases damage on bleeding targets by 20%
>backwards dash ability (viper retreat)
>hidden stance, and all the things that come out of it
>ability to throw (kick) without GB (hidden stance)
>dashing side heavies
>on block retreat back (press space on block)
>ability to feint light attacks
>better on parry/gb options
>better options to create space and longer range over all
>forward dashing light that can be from more than 1 direction (only top on kensei which makes it easy to defend against adopting a always guard top strategy)
>chain that guarantee's an extra light, 3rd attack from normals, 2nd attack from hidden stance

And I'm probably missing some, I've not really payed too much attention to either and been messing around more than I should. It's not so much complaining that nobushi is better or more powerful than kensei, it's just that it seems like she has a lot more going on and may for that reason be more worthwhile for someone planning to main a character in this game.
