I'm so fking tired of explaining that I fully understand the mechanic, that I'm not doing it wrong, and that it's broken.

Let's try to be constructive here. What platform are you playing on? It's possible your problem may be tied to something specific and saying "you're doing it wrong" may possibly be the case, unfortunately.

However, let's be optimistic and look at something that is pretty obvious.

Counter Guard Breaking the bots in the tutorial has different timing than against players online, especially hindered by the P2P system which occasionally messes with input lag.

The tutorial is a bit vague about how to actually perform a counter guard break, so it requires you to muscle-memory it against the bot in order to learn one of the most important mechanics in the game. The issue with this is that it doesn't quite transfer over to multiplayer very cleanly. In the end, a lot of counter guard breaking is predicting a guard break, but not acting on it too soon.

This system will also be shaken up whenever this new patch comes out, since they are changing it back to the system that was in place during the beta where if two players guard break at the same time, they will cancel out rather than giving one player an uncounterable guard break simply because their character made contact with the other first.

Another problem is, that the perfect counter GB window is a little bit different on all classes.
