That blows, but the thing is since the connection is P2P you will always encounter connectivity issues when there is an interference between NAT types. The only way to avoid that is to have an Open type or if the game runs on actual dedicated servers.

Yeah, I am fine with the issues. It just seems that every time I hit stuff like this in these things I realize I better wait a few months to order. Maybe wait for a sale. I was going to do some sp playing but were the game has to hit the server it crashed out while the opening scene was playing telling me the servers was unavailable and I get that message every time I try to connect. Nothing against any game but it seems common now that they are never prepared for launch and it takes weeks, at least, to get things going to where one can play without these issues. And they are the worst at launch. If I could play solo that would be different. But when everything, even sp, rely on the servers (much worse p2p) then you are going to see issues. Even with very fast internet that is properly set up.

Why can't everyone understand this? They even put a message at startup for betas (all games) to EXPECT server issues and things to go wrong. It's the whole frickin purpose. This is a BETA - NOT a demo of the finished product.

Companies have to stop being greedy and insisting on having always online connections for games we only want to play SP on. They do it to collect data on what we do in game.

They claim anti-pirate often, but as far as I know it is nearly impossible to play a pirated copy on XBL or PSN.

Game comes out in 12 days. Unless your argument is that the open beta is from a version that's months or years old- then it should be an accurate representation of what we can expect due to the imminent release.

    Do you understand this?

I anticipate there will be server load issues the first week of release. Because that is what we see more often than not now. Doesn't matter the studio, title or publisher.

    My theory.

They try to run tight on server costs and know that demand after the first few days drops quickly, so the are willing to have customers frustrated with servers for the first few days, rather than having money going toward unused servers a few days after launch.

I would be interested to learn more about how server contracts between server farms and gaming companies work, to have more information to apply to find if my theory is valid or not.

Coming from the closed beta I didnt see any improvements at all. Nothing. So you can call it a beta, I call it a demo. Cause they haven't done anything.

I'm so not going to buy this piece of ****.
