If you have never completed an online heist on GTA V, I fell sorry for you. Because when done right they can be so rewarding and just plain fun. My idea simply stated, can be described as the Ghost Recon Wildlands version of Heist on Grand Theft Auto 5.
For starters I believe their should be, like in GTA 5 a place to plan the op. So depending on who is actually leading the op, players would in this case, join that players safe house or planning room. Roles and assignments would be organized. Objectives would outlined. Needless to say these would not be every day ops, with everyday payouts and everyday rewards. They would be very difficult objectives, with very deadly adversaries, requiring high skill level operators, using co-ordination, skills, & tactics, improvised at a seconds notice.
Objectives could range from taking down Cartel top dogs visiting from places like Columbia. To rescue missions recovering long forgotten fellow agents/allies. Just to name a few. Taking out installations, whatever, as long as it's not easy, run of the mill objectives.
Setup missions, just like in GTA V would be needed as well, things such as recon for intel, acquiring certain hardware, vehicles etc would need to be "sourced" as Lester would say, in order to increase an ops success rate.
Lastly the rewards obtained from these "GhostOps" for lack of a better name, would be unique and special, just like in any other "raids", for lack of a better term. Some setup missions/ main missions could rely completely on stealth, some might rely on all out assault, & some a mixture of both.
I realize a lot people at point are concerned about the PvP/ Competitive landscape. I am one of them. I hope that news will surface asap regarding that. This idea is intended to contribute to the community ideas that address future PVE content as well community members seeking higher difficulty in the game. Any further ideas or contributions are absolutely and most certainly welcomed.
After Future Soldier, I gave up on my belief that someday there would be a decent Ghost Recon on the market. In my humble opinion this game appears to have a great deal of potential. And since Ghost Recon was the first game I ever played online, and it holds a special place in my heart. I sincerely hope that this community takes advantage this time. And contributes ideas/feedback to making this the best game it possibly be, for all types of player's. I know not everyone on these forums has the same love and history I with Ghost Recon. However, a lot you do, and a good deal have more history than me. I just want to see this game succeed, and continue carve out it's own unique niche in the gaming world, that of the Ghost. See you in the field.
