    There's lots of reasons tho:

-Pc market is made in a way where people by something new every 10 days.
    - Bad word and mouth about P2P connection (not deserved imo but i've an extremely good connection so i guess i'm not representative)
-Niche game with huge Ubisoft-like PM. The publicity around the game made it believed it was for anybody to play but matter of fact it's a niche hardcore fighting game.
-Newest Ghost Recon release went on Open beta.

In SOCIAL tab you can see online gamers and it went down a little bit that +- 50% of people have stopped playing. From 70k +- => 30k +-. Probably because of UI issues/balance issues/crashes/connectivity/bugs.

So far there was only I patch that I've seen regarding crash fixes. That's a good one. But it still didn't work for me. Still getting client freeze after trying to leave group/dominion/score screen.

So the question is: If you've stopped playing or planning to stop, what's your reason? Lack of patches? Balance? Just got bored?
It all depends on when you look at those numbers. If I might assume that half of the playerbase is working folks, then you will see a different number when those folks are home from work. And since they do not tend to play more than two hours, before going to sleep or taking care of kids or the wife/husband or whatever, you might only have this two hour window to catch them. If you don't, you will see half the folks online, becvause the other half is sleeping (need to work next day, need to go to a kid's birthday, need to talk to teachers of my kid... whatever needs to be done).

Now the numbers on eight weekends following each other might give you a better hint to the all in all player numbers. As for the next two weeksends... i'll be in Austria with wife and son... so there is one less for two weeks

I'm logging in into game every 2-3h (just to have quick duel and stuff), and numbers 32-35k +- are fixed for the last two days (mornings and evenings included). Maybe, kind person couple of posts above was right. Maybe it's because of open beta of other games.I always thought that we had a x-platform.

So, the whole idea: I'm a +- bad player. Casual you can say. I'm trying to go to duels. Faced experienced person, (enter 18+ scene from pornsite), and left the game. Kewl. Let's try another duel. Same guy. I was like... "wuuuuut"? Apologized, left duel. Queued for another one. Same guy. So, overall, I've stopped the duel and decided to go to the Dominion and in my team was same person. Is it our mmr or... not enough people there?

The game isn't failling after 1 week. I ****ing hate some of the things about the game, like the fact that there is no dedicated servers, but don't you all come down here an pretend the game is failling miserably. You have to give credit where credit is due. No servers is unacceptable and game balance and tweaks will probably come...

So, overall, I'm very happy about the game except for some of game aspects, like connection, UI, also a little bit of balance (since I'm a bad player, I really like some hug around Guard Break etc). I feel that game can be expanded and stuff, that's why I bought CE 2009 of of 13065 copies. But for now, I see it was released and that's it. No significant changes so far. I'm not saying "OLOLO I WAS SCAMMED GIEF MANEY BACK!", but game potential wasn't expanded and experience, sometimes, not overall, feels a little bit soar.

I hope this is only "Calm before the Storm" of amazing patches, fixes, changes that are ahead of us. *really suppressing skeptical thoughts here*

It's also expected / normal for games to spike at launch and then lose a chunk in the first month, so nothing new there.
It's never going to maintain the numbers of some of the better recent releases, it just has too many problems.
But an initial high followed by a drop is completely normal and happens to every game.
First month fine, but over 50% of the playerbase quit in the first week. That's a whole new level of low, even for Ubisoft or EA standards.

Not half the playerbase, a large portion of the PC portion of the playerbase.

Console still going very strong, as they don't have as many p2p issues as PC in general due to more uniform hardware design alleviating/mitigating the differences in hardware performance as it relates to networking.

The "end is nigh/sky is falling" crowd occurs on all forums. Play games you like, quit ones you don't - but going onto a forum just to proclaim "hurrrr, da gamez am deadzor" is a waste of time and doesn't do anything beneficial or positive for the community.

What they are trying to say is that you are using numbers collected at different times of the day. I have never seen the player count as low as 30k so I am expecting you took that number at a period where nobody is actually awake to play. I usually see it hovering around 50-60k when I am playing which is a good bit in the evenings
