I never had trouble against Shoguki players, I think there is just one who killed me but that's about it.
Though it's really difficult to help you out since you didn't even said what character you're playing.

All I can tell you from a large perspective is that his moves are among the most telegraphed of the game and therefore the easiest to dodge/parry.
Generally speaking it's a bad idea to attack him first, let him come to you, don't get too close and punish his mistakes.
Force him to waste his stamina with dash and feints (feinting R2 attacks is actually VERY effective against this class).

You can also break his poise with most of the characters but again, don't know who you're playing...
