People deserve it since it's paid DLC. And spec'ing some time fixing it will bring back some old players or even new players that are afraid of getting bored right now.
I totally agree with what you are proposing. The Underground is to me what the DZ is to PvP, but it needs more love to be on par with the DZ.

+1 This is a fantastic Idea and fits nicely into Massive's grand scheme of things with regards to repurposing existing content. Bump this Thread people let's make this happen.

Excellent suggestions! One more thing: I play UG a lot even tho I am long past level 40 and it keeps feeling odd that at the end of a successful missions there is an extraction point just around the corner. This is especially the case when the mission was about tracking down a junior leader or something like that. Why where we asked to fight all the way if there was another way to get there? It feels wrong because the story is that agents need to goes deeeeeep in the hostile environment to accomplish their missions!

A nice complication would be if agents had to fight their way to an extraction point that makes sense from a story point of view. You know, like in DZ where agents have to make their way to an exit if we want to leave DZ alive.

One option would be to require agents to make their way back to the starting point but with new obstacles emerging such as fires having destroyed previously utilized pathways therefore requiring route changes. Then it would make sense that new hostiles had to be encountered whereas facing resurrected hostiles agents already killed on the route in wouldn't cut the mustard, from a story point of view.

Cheers, keep up the good work!

I'm bumping this because this needs to be recognized and addressed.

Last night I spent several hours in the Underground, and when using modifiers the UG can be intense. I would like to see more development in the UG as the OP stated.

Best use of the underground ever, haven't palyed UG in months, probably will never play it again unless something like this happens, Massive this needs to happen to bring players in to the UG.

my idea for underground- do a horde mode and add a modifier that changes how UG is played example place boxes of skills are lay out around the area like in last stand, plus players don't have skills so we have to rely on the stationary turret, pulse, heal station and boxes that have smart cover on them and you active them by killing hostiles and also receive bonus currency for each wave you beat plus get bonus currency for doing things like headshot kills, revives etc.

the horde mode will be waves of enemies that get harder as you go further into UG. adding new UG levels to fight in would be nice

Thanks for all the support guys and gals. I really hope some of all our suggestions will make it.

I'll keep spamming the state of the game with : Give some love to the UG! Until we have a proper answer

If only we could get ideas like these acknowledge on the SOTG where Hamish and Yannick could share with the Dev-team.......

Thing is: on SOTG hamish strictly avoids anything related to UG.

I've mentionned it on a stream with Mattshotcha and he agreed the UG is amazing and should get some love.

So maybe the only way to get some attention would be to talk about it during hamish stream. But sadly that happens when I'm at work -_-
