At the moment there is nothing except dodging away to defend against side dodge attacks from assassins. Guard break is the only thing that's an effective counter against dodge spammers. The only problem is when they start spamming side dodge and their attack it initiates a combo and prevents you from guard breaking. All you can pretty much do is try and block which is almost impossible if you were hit by something else before they start spamming it or roll out because if you try to dodge their attack tracks you.

My problem with side dodge attacks is that they give an invulnerability period for the user, which created a lot of stupid-looking moments during my gameplay, like peacekeeper doing a dodge animation while physically staying on the same place due to the wall blocking her and still avoiding 100% of my top heavy attack which just phased through her whole body model.

Absolutely the side attacks need adjusting! They can be abused and spammed to ensure victory.

they are assassins... your not suppose to stand close range and spam attacks in their face. Assassin/counter attacker do you know what that means? Get distance like a competent player and try to reengage on your own terms.
