YES
NO
After a particularly nasty night in the DZ last night with gank squads running a muck camping CPs and not allowing people to even enter the DZ and the endless barrage of hatred and griefing. I want to as the question that perhaps someone could explain/ comment on.
I get the whole reason why people enter the DZ and just go Rogue, the thrill experiencing the forbidden social norm and morals that challenge socially acceptable behaviour. But what I don't get is why this has to be done by denigrating people with such vile hatred in commentary. It seems to be spreading in the DZ faster than the virus in the game. It would seem some people leave every moral fibre at the DZ CP and enter the DZ purely to just grief other players and spew vile commentary out of their mouths, about how they will f****** your sister and mother or will come find you in RL and kill you etc, etc etc.
The fact the UBIsoft and massive appear to support and encourage this environment is of concern to me and a number of others I have played with. Griefing appears to have taken over the DZ and seems to be left running unchecked. The reason I believe it is getting worse is based on a number of people I used to play with no longer play the game but the same people responsible or griefing are still running a muck regardless of being reported. I gave up playing after about an hour last night because of it.
I like playing the game I I like running the DZ, although IM pretty crap at rogue play, but this is the single most concerning issue with this game.
Most people just want to run and shoot sh** farm some gear and have the odd PvP encounter and be done with it, on the other hand these type couldn't care about the game and there for one thing only to grief others and fu** others around as much as possible for as long as possible
Banter is one thing with other agents but vile hatred and comments about family is another. I just wonder what some of these people are like in RL and would they tolerate it outside of the game, and if not then what gives you the right to do it to others in game, just because the game mechanics allows it doesn't make it right?
Do you believe Ganking and Griefing is killing the Division?
I believe it has a negative effect but also draws people in. I do pvp in the dz a lot but i do not cp camp. That in my opinion is unsporting. When i rogue i may camp a area but it will not be a door preventing access in or out of cp. If you have chat issues just turn off prox chat. I will humor some of your more toxic players every once and a while for fun. I have mine off mostly due to how toxic others can be. I do not see though why people get so upset about dying or being ganked in dz. Its part of the dz. You know risk of what will happen inside. You have other options that are more safe but yes they are less productive. Why also if someone kills you in a pvp setting is it greifing also. Its a pvp environment with pve elements. Not a safe space for farming. Iv seen post like these before and I understand your pain. Losing gear and/or dieing repeatidly by same players sucks. If you dont like it dont go in. In short, its not the dz griefing thats this killing game. It has its ups and downs. Some due to content getting old and players moving on. Other reasons include bugs and yes vile players. Recently though division has had growth with recent updates but then later a little loss. I believe the new update will bring some more players back. Its not a dead game by far yet. My opinion on this matter is there are some very outspoken players who think it is dead and what you to think it to.Originally Posted by SGTR0CK117 Go to original post
There are multiple ways of entering the DZ, we have a fast travel option to travel between checkpoints and you can check the map for rogues before you set foot in there so checkpoint gankers shouldn't be an issue.
"vile hatred in commentary" - whilst I don't agree with players being vile in the commentary, it can also be hilarious and should never be taken to heart. After all, this happens in any game these days right?
Whilst I do truly sympathise with the PVE players for not having a PVE DZ option or/and a more immersive LZ, free of the ganking and griefing concept, (after all its their free time to do things they enjoy) I just think the ganking and griefing is one of the many things that makes the game unique.
The problem with this unique, end game, concept is that its not been divided appropriately for their divided player base. They're losing players like 2 of my friends recently, due to this forced concept if you like. They need to divide PVE and PVP completely on all levels and open the content up to everyone. I could vote yes and no on this one so I'm not going to vote. I'm just having my little say but looking at the bigger picture, its this none-division between the two conflicting parties that's the real underlining issue with this game.
Griefing/Ganking and PvP add players to the game, while chasing others away, at least from those areas. The PvP in this game is like sword fighting with guns. There is a lack of real ranged combat. So, PvP is very unpopular with the PvEers that PvP in other games. The Benny Hill chicken dance is just not a popular affect of the mechanics with would be PvPers. I know someone is going to get on here and say we have to have our way. That PvEers are just afraid to die, and we get our feelings hurt, because our skin isn't thick enough. Others would say we need to "Git Gud". And that's really not true. I have 4 toons that total about 160 DZ levels. I did a lot of dying to average level 40 on 4 different characters. I think what bothers people is the totally unbalanced ganking, and the fact that many just don't believe they have a chance at all in the DZ.
I'm perfectly happy with the LZ. And I sneak into the DZ every now and then. I play to have fun. If you want to kill me, I'm at your service. I don't harm others, well by accident, I shot a guy thinking he was an NPC, and went rogue unintentionally, but he got rewarded by killing me and taking my stuff. And I don't consider him a griefer. He had all right to kill me, anyone in the DZ has that right, to be honest. It to me, just doesn't feel right or sportsman to go around hunting solo players in 4 man gank squads. But hey, if that's your thing more power to you.
What I believe is really killing the game at this point was a failed attempt at trying to fix PvP. At this point I believe they should have left everything at 1.5 added 1.6, fixed bugs, added the incursion and called it a day. But once again the way we play, has been severely altered. Sets that were good are now trash. Recalibrated set pieces will have to be re-farmed, etc.
We love it when a team is camping at the checkpoint, we come and **** them up or at least try to
Just go to another checkpoint and flank them from behind.
You can also call the rogue police :P:P

To be honest - a little strange voting option.Originally Posted by SGTR0CK117 Go to original post
1) No - I do not think that it should be. Yes, all right.
2) No - I think this is normal. Yes - It is not normal.
Could you specifically describe the items?
And about the game insults ... gameplay and messages go through a server. It would be enough to set up recording of voice chat messages when killing players using voice filter on a small a set of words. After that first threatened to force stop an existing account perpetrators forced to apologize, but in the case of a repeat violation to take action.
I think that a month is enough to to rectify the situation.
PS. I have no problem with death. But I hate to play with "inadequate" consider themselves unpunished.![]()
The funny thing is that they are on the map is sometimes not displayed. You can run out right up to the rogue and find it (on the map) only after death. The game is not all work "as intended".Originally Posted by D-Y-N-4-M-0 Go to original post
