Hi Zynrex - if you believe you encountered a DDoS-er, you can report them here, and we will investigate. Thanks!

Whether or no you really experienced a DDOS attack (not saying you did not) it does bring into question security measures in this game that are severely lacking. With the current P2P all players IP's are completely open and unprotected. Anyone with very little networking experience can access them in very easy ways which I will not talk about further. This is a very bad thing guys very bad! A dedicated server would solve this problem and is just another reason to implement them. Heck even using a properly set up dedicated host would fix this (this game only uses session hosts which only handle handshakes).

I am honestly surprised that Microsoft does not flag this game as a security risk!

No offense, but I doubt you are THAT good that someone felt the need to DDoS you mid game lol.

The problem is that you can see each others IP's simply by pressing Ctrl+Alt+delete while ingame with them. So this is bound to happen. Regardless if it has to do with skill or not, it can be a risk for the other person's computer, privacy, and network.

You don't have to be good, just better than them.

Still can not argue that this is a huge security risk wich can lead to people gaining access to your computer. You could shield yourself with a proxy or VPN but then the game would not be playable with the lag (which is already pretty huge in and of its self).
