It's difficult to use consistently. It seems harder than other classes like warlord and conqueror to use.

Lets keep this thread going people. I am a Nobushi main and I think hidden stance is an awesome ability. However I have completely given up on using it anymore because of this thumbstick issue. Dont get me wrong I have had some awesome moments with hidden stance, but it is to unreliable and will lose the match most of the time because it simply doesn't activate. I wish to use my Nobushi to its full potential!

I've been dabbling in the nobushi ways for the last couple of days and I reckognize the problem in maintaining the stance.
So my next step, after encountering the problem, was figuring out ways in which I could use the stance.

Since I'm far from mastering the nobushi it is far from perfect but I found some ways for the stance to be useful even with a controller (using an xbox controller on PC).

The first use is setting up the stance and immediately follow up with the double poke when charged by a shugoki (instantly breaks his stance and interrupts his attack when timed corectly) or a warlord. Then there is using the stance to dodge the first blow and follow up with a dodge or a strike.

Lastly I found that when holding the stick down to maintain the stance, assuming your guard was to your right you can break the stance by pushing the poke to the left and make a rotating stab, resulting in you being a bit more unpredictable.

    Hope it helps.

That is not consistent though, what it has to be in order to be useful. I don't want to throw my duel win away by trying a 75/25% hidden stance dodge (with the 25% being the chance of actually succeding). Also mind you that you can change the attack direction while being in hidden stance and staying in it when playing with a keyboard which is how it is supposed to work. (Try doing a top attack from hidden stance with a controler and have fun while failing miserably.

    +1

it is very inconsistent and it drains a lot of stamina to have it go off and on the way it does
