Which is your preferred class?Originally Posted by Rocterbox Go to original post
I usually play Raider and Kensei. With Raider I usually try to stun tap,fake heavy hit into a stun tap, and dodging back is your best friend. Once you get frustrated and try to dodge to the sides, you will lose. I do hate that Hit, Hit, guard, combo. Orochi is a glass cannon tho. I never do heavy hits unless guard break them
Block the dodge instead of attack. All assassins have to attack in the direction we dodge on a very basic level anyway, those more advance players like me will use timing disruptions with dodge to throw you.
Anyways basic if I dodge left imma attack left, right right.
The only basic time this doesn't happen is when they don't use the ability and wait to just do any direction attack (this is the very basic form of timing disruption)
Timing disruption is advance/tourney player combat, which classes like the nobushi, orochi, Valkyrie, lawbringer, warden all Excel at
Another very basic form of timing disruptions would be feints followed by dodges/GBs/light
It's really rare that you see players use these tactics, but a common class that would adopt using it with enough player proficiency would be the Nobushi as Hidden stance is a dodge, a recovery, timing disruptor and just a really advance move to master. I kind went off topic there but anyone can disrupt the timing of something so long as you just pay attention and focus a little more, work on blocks and parties a little more, see how you're getting hit and next time the same wish thing happens, see what you can do differently. Dodge hit counters are hard, but its possible. Shield characters are equally as hard for assassins.
Read the thread "Orochi is dead"... I have a detailed steps on how to beat (and how to train to beat) an Orochi. I mained Orochi in Alpha and both Beta but I switched after I figured out his weakness and that he was way too weak at top skill level.Originally Posted by Rocterbox Go to original post
=== Some advice:
Don't spam attacks. Just don't. NO.
Only attack if it's a sure hit (such as a counter or a frame trap). If he starts spinning like a noob, PARRY + PUNISH. Your Top Heavy after a GB is like 40% damage if Orochi is bleeding.
Don't attack, focus on punish. If he's smart enough to "not attack" as well... Use whatever tool you maybe have to 50/50 him (this is class dependent, so some classes... can't).
