Someone on cable is NOT going to pay and additional $50/month to overcompensate for Ubisoft's shortcomings. We shouldn't have to. We don't have to. In my catalogue of over 250 PC games, maybe 3 of them do this P2P crap. These ones get left in the dust by... SUPERIOR GAMES!

The amount of data transferred for playing the game is actually quite small. "Better internet" does not solve this as the issues are NOT related to your own connectivity 90% of the time. It's entirely on Ubisoft's implementation of the network stack.

I have light-fibre cabel (>150mb upload and download), and even then it sometimes has it´s delays with counter guardbrakes and parrys. I don´t think it would be a problem if the game would not match me with people from another f*cking continent!!! Seriously, why?!
I do think overall a quick patch should be now a start for the game. Nobushi, Orochi, Warden, ****ty-matchmaking with complete disregard for gear levels. I hope the servers will come, but that will be no time soon. Ubi´s what it is ...give them time. I think a mont or two is good. If Season 2 starts without servers then rage.
For starters a quickpatch for some of the more in-game bugs and exploits.

I'm not disillusioned that my connection issues are stemmed from my internet, its 100% ubisoft's implementation of it thats having me getting kicked from games despite good ping and a stable internet connection. Since I can stream (high quality)and play overwatch while watching youtube videos in 1080p at once without any lag or buffering stops on the video. To tell me that just playing for honor with nothing else opened is more demanding for my internet is hogwash and if it is then ubisoft needs some major revisions on their network coding.
