    Fellow zerkers!

Let me start of by saying I love this hero, Rep 3 level 9 and still enjoying playing him alot!

So the basis of this post is to share tactics on how to beat other characters. Myself inparticular really struggle to deal with a decent kensei, I find if I get a parry they stumble to far back for me to GB or side heavy, and they Damn two poke light attack takes off near enough two bars of health.

There the only hero I have consistent trouble with, so any advice is welcomed!

And also let us know who you have trouble beating and we'll see if we can help!

Honestly, haven't run into any memorable kensei. The class is strong, but a bit rare in my experience. I find skilled wardens (and unskilled conquerers) more of a common challenge.

That being said, while we wait for someone with more kensei experience to chime in, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on when berserkers should parry, and what the good followup options are after a parry. I generally don't try to do it, because of exactly your point with kensei getting pushed out of the zerk's effective range. Are there enemies against whom parry is more useful? Does gb always land vs certain characters? What about side-heavy? Jump top heavy?

In my own experience, the only class I find myself slowing down and parrying is shugoki, due to the way that the shugoki's super armor can punish my natural zerker aggression if I don't get out of the way.

I tend to parry quite alot, unfortunately I've found the best strategy to win is to play more defensively than I'd like to.

I tend to try and parry most classes parrying the orochis top light spin, storm rush or side dodge attacks are always good. I tend to land most GBs after a parry now days, usually I'll throw into a wall if there close by for the top heavy, but usually try and start a mini chain with a side heavy.

Also I parry peacekeepers top lunge attack and punish them for that.

Warden's are tricky there so quick and tend to be good at blocking so it's more of a waiting game, get them near a wall, I tend to top heavy feint in GB, into wall onto top heaby with them. Alot of warden's will try to spam GB into shoulder bash.

I tend to use jump top heavy as an opener every now and again, doesn't land very often but if it's not deflected it can make.them stumble and allow either a GB or a side light

The only way to beat a good kensei with a berserker is to block or parry everything, and never go offensive. There are 10 rules:
    1. never jump on him first
    2. even if you feint attacks never attack with anything first
    3. never start with your own guardbreak
    4. parry or block all his attacks
    5. dodge the unblockable ones
    6. attack him with a one light attack every time you succesfully defend yourself
    7. remember that his attacks will always follow you after dodge, so never dodge anything except unblockables, just stand there and block/parry/deflect/counterGB, use only 1 light attack after and repeat for 15 minutes,
    8. if you get a guardbreak on him after deflect, use your guaranteed side heavy, or throw him into a wall and use a top heavy for more damage
    9. never use your spinning skill - they can easly block or dodge it and kill you from behind, also it drains too much stamina
    10. never use any jumping skill, and never even try to land more than 1 hit at a time - they can dodge or block everything into a guaranteed light attacks combo that deals 50% of your hp in damage

This is how berserker was designed, just git gud
Basically this is the universal guide to beating all other heroes with berserker, when they are played by someone good, if they are played by noobs, just jump in and kill them, ez

Kensei, after playing against a very nice and skilled Prestige 4 Kensei when I was P1:

    - Light attacks: block them, try a gb after (should work? Can't remember right now)
    - Parry a lot, go into a chain after if you can
    - and this is the most important: Learn those crazy timings. That's the biggest advantage Kensei has, he's hard to read, it's hard to get the defense timings right

Yeah I might have to stick myself in a duel with AI to get the blocks down..

Only other hero I have trouble with is a good orochi that does the Dodge>storm rush> Gb> top heavy cause it literally takes of 80% of my hp all for missing one attack 😂

Also just got messaged by another beserker and got called a spammer because I infinite chained him to death.... 😂

By a good warden do you mean one that does nothing but block GB attack into shoulder bash? 😂

Warden's are tricky, I steer clear of top heavies, try to GB them near a wall to get the free top heavy they can't parry

I haven't ran into any memorable kensei. I've seen more wardens, warlords/Conqs and orochi than anything. Warlords and conq just depends on getting those guard breaks. Stop those and you halt the pressure they could of had. Orochi...just wait for them to spam their charge, followed by a GB to overhead. Every orochi I've played against does the same dumb **** so once you get it down it's gg. However the best orochi I saw was the one that never did his combos. He whittled me down slowly.

Most players follow a typical "combo" or chain of events for their class. Until MMR becomes a thing, I don't want to say what it's like at high tier because my experience has a huge spectrum. Best advice I can give is keep calm ( I Know we are zerkers...I rage with the best of them, too) and try not to be fancy. Sometimes the easiest wins come from controlling your enemy and punishing them.

    -Signed Lovingly,
    A Raider/Zerker

try feign-heavy-left into dash-light-right into GB, works most of the time but sometimes they can block everything anyway and you are done
