    It's happening boys.
nice, I am just wondering if UBI will do the proper reaction and switch to server solution, this is just another nail to coffin. With broken MM, long match search and security issue, If UBI will not act, game is dead within very few months

however p2p is killing me. 40-50k players online and game is not able to create 1vs1 or 2vs2 for 3-5 mins. It is just stupid. I am sure these complain is not first, but I think it should be repeated over and over and if there is a simple change, that UBI will fix this stupid, not working solution and deploy dedicated server, it worth to mention.
That ship has long sailed. All that's left is the tarnished reputation of this game and it confirmed, what every gamer suspected: Ubisoft has great IPs but is utterly incompetent.

I'll treat them just like I treat EA. Won't bother buying their games anymore.

For the matter of fact, R6 and The Division had p2p when they launched. It was fixed later on. The number of players plummeted as well, but started to raise again with fixes implemented such as dedicated servers.

I am actually positive Ubisoft will change the p2p because of ppl starting to ddos.

I also mentioned this before. P2P and the visible IP is something to think about. According to german law the IP is something private like Name or adress.

Since when do laws apply to huge corporations?

And yes, I got suspiciously kicked out of matches I was about to win several times, mostly when playing against Russian players. In some instances players kicked entire teams one by one. All thanks to p2p.

I read the interviews with the lead developer and I was sceptical, but nevertheless my beta impressions were pretty positive and I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. Boy, was I an idiot.

Whoever thought p2p should be the infrastructure of choice for this IP is directly responsible for the death of this game and the tarnished reputation. I sincerely hope other competent corporations got inspired by the combat system and genre mix-up, so that they'll release something similar. Preferrably someone competent, who still at least somewhat tries to make games for gamers, not shareholders. Somebody like Blizzard.

Lol, peer to peer has only the advantage over servers when there is only 2 people, but with any more than that the netcode gets to complicated then we get games like For Honor. It needs dedicated severs, maybe expect for duels, which just needs a better netcode.

This video explains it all. There P2P is dodgey at best and down right unplayable at worst. Its not even real P2P with a dedicated host instead everyone is the the server meaning that data has to be sent all over the place in a battle instead of to just one player. IF you look at the stats in the video it shows that For Honor has around 120ms of inherit lag with all things being equal (same PCs and network) throw in some variables and that number jumps up like crazy.

Never going to have real competitive play with out dedicated servers period.

I would love to see response from UBISOFT on these questions but as long as they most probably do not plan to do anything about it, I am afraid, that, as usually, this game is already dead for them and they are working on something different
