just look at the classes performing well in tournaments. if you think this list is WAY off, you are confirmed terrible at this game simply because you do not seem to understand it or its mechanics at all. anyone with half a brain can see that those 4 classes at top top at this list belong to the top of this list.

Just to put this out there, i'd probably place Conqueror on the top-tier part of this list. Let me explain. Technically, he can feint BOTH heavy and lights with all block, try it for yourself in game. Secondly, his shield bash is the safest ability in the game with ZERO repercussion if he misses. In fact, if you decide to do a side-dash attack into it, you risk getting parried.

The tier list looks pretty sound although I find it rather funny that you have the audacity to call it "The Tier List" instead of "Mansen's tier list." I personally think Shugoki has at least even matchups against Warlord and Warden. I'm not sure if I'm at the "top level" of play, but players at my MMR do all the things you described, and I have a large amount of experience with these matchups due to the popularity of these classes. Perhaps it is simply a lack of matchup knowledge by my opponents skewing my opinion though.

People have been trying to pigeonhole classes like this since classes became a thing, but this ignores the most important factor.
    The player.
I've seen a good player do amazing things with a supposedly 'bad ' class and vice versa.
Tier lists don't ignore player skill. They merely discuss the potential of a character based on its tools. Assuming both players are equally skilled and have an equal amount of matchup knowledge, the higher tier character will win the majority (as little as 51% or as high as 100%) of the duels. Tier lists do not suggest that regardless of skill level the player playing the higher tier character will always win.

One thing to be mindful of in fonor honor is that most classes are very similar in their core mechanics. The gaps between different tiers of characters is actually not all that big. The leading mechanic that seperates tiers, imo, is the ability to punish off of guard break (also meaning parry -> guard break). Some characters have great options, some characters have **** options.

what? the biggest difference is for example wardens vortex. or warlord who pretty much has a safe way to do damage by blocking in full block stance and following up with an attack that you can do nothing about. its safe. how do you even beat a warlord that knows how to counter guard break and simply waits for your attack and goes into full block stance and follows up with a SAFE attack afterwards? no reason to faint against that, since all that will happen is you both lose stamina. there is NO reason to even attack a warlord.

I have explanations on exactly why each class is in each tier.

There might be small subjective difference such as "Is Conqueror TOP Tier or High Tier"? Well, that really depends on how wide each tier is... Doesn't it? The idea is that I rank Conqueror high and I see most of you do as well.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this is a top level game play list. So those who think Orochis are Top Tier and Shugoki isn't... You really need to look at Tournament results and game mechanics first.

Think I'm just done playing the game until it gets rebalanced. Playing against a competent player with any of the top 3 is a gigantic lolfest of spamming unblockables that are either fast and safe or a 50/50. Only playing against Shug is not just an asinine wankfest of unblockables, and he actually feels like he has counterplay, but his armor regenerates too quickly even when he is getting hit or blocking. This is coming from someone who mained warden in beta and played shug exclusively for the last week. Shug is fun as hell and actually has solid and interesting tools unlike warden, warlord or conq, and he is the one I beat the most with my alts, and he could probably be balanced with some tweaks (slightly less stam drain on headbutt, slightly longer recharge time of uninterruptible stance.) But warden, warlord and conq will just never be balanced until they rework the core game to make turtling less insane and then seriously dial back their unblockables. Like, if you could punish warlord or conq on a whiffed headbutt/shield bash and made the startup maybe 3-5 frames longer apiece I would call it pretty much reasonable. In their current state it's dumb. Matches are quite lame to spectate as well.
