    Closed Beta to Open Beta Changelog

    Would be nice if one was provided...

    As I've said before the things that most importantly needs improvement are;


    • Better control over cover. I couldn't tell when I was in cover, why I would leave cover, or anything in between.
    • Have a dodge/roll for grenades and other tactical uses
    • In the skill tree there is only improved scope aim for Snipers?! There should be improved aim with any weapon scoped & looking down iron sights
    • BUG: Weapons myself or squad was carrying would stick through vehicles (doors, windshields)
    • Vehicle control needs to be tweaked. I like the different feel of dirt vs road but just a tap of the A or D key and I careen in that direction
    • Be able to change squad loadouts or let you choose when your squad goes silent vs. loud
    • Several times where trying to infiltrate a compound rebels would screw everything up by coming in hot and loud
    • NO tab + wheel-scroll!!! This is simple ******ed and a serious waste of time. Why can't we just hit tab then have mouse direction pick what order we want to send out? It's 100x quicker and easier!
    • Improved AI
    • May of just been me but game seemed a little grainy, hopefully optimization and driver updates will take care a lot of this
    • More mission variety! Mission variety! Mission Variety!


    Hope to see some of these in the Open Beta. At latest at launch otherwise I'll be waiting for a discount.

    I have been looking all over for a change log and did ask @ghostrecon if they would share over Twitter but have received radio silence over that request.

    At the end of the day, those of us on the closed beta provided a lot of feedback and it would be nice to know what they did with that feedback with the release of the final game so close. If the betas are nothing more than a game demo to stir up public interest then they should stop calling them betas.

    Just for completeness, here were my thoughts on the closed beta and what I would like to see improved for the open beta or obviously for the final release:

    Pros:
    The world is great so far;
    The gun play is excellent;
    Co-op is awesome, tremendous fun;
    The story and side quests seem good so far;
    Looks great;
    Tons of options for customisations.

    Cons:
    Co-op players run on top of vehicle when driving;
    Controls of helicopters is not great and has not left and right motion;
    The game hangs every now and again and when playing co-op this results in being kicked from the session;
    Each player in co-op having to tag resources is a massive pain and breaks the whole idea of team work since it means everyone has to come into a base if they all want the resources;
    Driving is okay once you are used to it but does feel a little lose.
    AI teams don't seem to have a lot in the I department at times;
    The cover system isn't great, especially since it works so well in The Division and Splinter Cell. Reusable assets?!
    When entering cover near an opening, having to turn around as the character has entered cover facing the wrong way;
    Not being able to climb through a window.

    Come on Ubisoft, share the details, please.

    Hmm, when you say enter cover and have to turn around, are you physically moving the character to turn? Because you can use the switch stance button (rmb on Xbox One) to do so.

    As for windows, it would be nice to be able to do that -- you can kind of, but you need to break open the window first. That means shooting it. I'd prefer the shoulder break approach from cover, or smashing it with the butt of the gun.

    havent played the closed beta but...
    isnt that a really bad idea because you need to be able to look around to give orders to your team on where to go and who to shoot etc using the mouse to aim already?

    Do you play Overwatch? seen how the communication wheel works there.
    you just hold down 1 button and you can just do a quick flick of the mouse to give out the order.
    Or even better be able to assign hotkeys to the commands
