Is it possible to use the wardens top light counter attack against an opponents top unblockable? it never seems to connect for me.
I have no trouble parrying with a normal heavy but the light attack seems more difficult? is it just a timing thing that i am messing up?
I have noticed it seems a lot harder to use the counter attack than just parrying everything normally.
Not against an unblockable, but I know what you mean about the parry. I've only managed to land it a couple of times but from what I've gathered the light attack is meant to be pressed quite a bit before the attack actually connects. Take Orochi for example, I have managed to do it to one as he did his dash light top but the timing on it was bizarre and I thought he was going for a grab break so I pressed top light as the attack reached just over his head as he was swinging down on me, there was like half a second maybe before he connected yet it workedOriginally Posted by Drazard_TCR Go to original post
I can only contribute my personal experience here :
I am capable of parrying the kensei unblockable. The only time it connects is, when i try to crushing-counter it.
So i am pretty sure that it just isnt possible.
On the other hand, i am not very good... i cant reliably crushing counter anything.
I dont want to go off topic, but: Is the window for crushing counter the same as for parry ? I often get hit by top attacks i try to counter but i can parry much better.
Guess i just need practice
not off topic at all, i have asked the same thing. Im almost certain the crushing counter windows is smaller than a parry. but i cannot confirm it.Originally Posted by Dez_troi_aR Go to original post
Can anyone here confirm this?
ahhh thank you. ive never really understood the superior block, and block property stuff..Originally Posted by The_Mensan Go to original post
but if wardens crushing counterstrike is only specified as a superior block then it makes perfect sense as to why it cant parry it.
Does this include the Valkyrie's "deflect" mechanic or not? It acts like a Deflect, but I believe it's technically a Block in the direction in which you dodge? I'm curious if I can deflect an unblockable into the stab attack or not as the Valk.Originally Posted by The_Mensan Go to original post
