Revenge Gain stats are completely broken.

For those who don't know, will know now. This is the way to play as it currently stands. Pool all your stats into that Revenge Attack, Revenge Gain, and go nuts. This is honestly the biggest problem with the game right now (servers and such aside).

As sad as it is, this is really the only (right) way to build your character. If you don't you will be entering matches with entire teams stacked to build Revenge and dominate. There is no counter to this, only by having the same build. This pretty much ruins the games competitive atmosphere, as it's not a test of skill, only a test of who pops their revenge first in a 1v1 scenario. Even better when most of their team pops Revenge at once because they are all stacked.

This needs to change. Either remove the Revenge gain by Injury/Defense stat completely, or decrease it's effect by at least 50%. Dominion is borderline unplayable unless you already have a Prestige 3 character with 108 gear score for Revenge. Either that or lose a lot so you can get bumped down to the lower bracket (Not that it matters, as the skill matchmaking seems broken).

All I'm trying to say is I know I'm not the only one, and Ubisoft needs to address this issue. Because right now there really isn't any point to testing other builds. The Revenge ability was solely meant to combat being overwhelmed by multiple players. Right now it is being abused to the highest degree. I truly hope they see this in the play data and make a change.

Made a thread myself addressing the gear issue and how it will potentially kill this game before the second season ends here. I think I didn't name it correctly and it is not getting attention because of that.

But yes this is stupid. Gear was supposed to specialize a character towards a certain playstyle not make it stronger overall.
Gear is a problem, it's scaring of potential new players already and is also annoying to anyone who wants to play with a character that isn't at least purple gearscore.

A change is needed before the game dies from player starvation. The connection flaws are probably burning players by the day already on top of those who just drop out naturally. And the progression gap is keeping new players out.

I totally agree with you. A simple solution could be that they make the revenge bar doesn't start filling unless there is more than 1 enemy in certain area around you. For now when you see someone pop his revenge mode in a 1v1 run until it's over, than resume the fight.

Saying dominion is boarderline unplayable unless 108 Gearscore is ridiculous. Ive played with and againest them before and most of the time theyre average at best. Please no more 108 GS talk.
In 1v1 there is no gear used its skill based, im pretty sure the 2v2 games are the same. You are playing right into their build. Why would you not stack revenge when people gank in 4v4s. Crazy not to. You cant call for a nerf because of that.

Do you speak about duels or 1v1 in eliminations? Because in duels the gear does nothing at all, nor does it do anything in brawl. But a tip is, don't spam melee random hits. Go it from a tactical point and try to feint and outplay. If you spam hit, no matter what gear, their revenge will go up fast.

Revenge bar can be filled in a 1v1. I fought someone in a 1v1 who blocked 3 of my attacks and got his revenge. How I'm I supposed to deal with this?

Its not something you cant beat, but it is annoying when you hit someone twice as a raider with heavies to have them pop it.

Maybe if they removed dodges counting towards it in the "Revenge Gain by Defense" stat. As it is, a dodge half the time isnt even ment to be a dodge but a backstep which will fill the meter, and the rage at which it picks up an attack dodge is a little overforgiving. Im fine with the amount given for blocking and parries. Im even ok with revenge defense and attack.

All in all, maybe a small tweek, but most people dont know how to counter it. GB is your friend.
