Orochi has no real mix-up tools.

    • He has no soft-feints like some classes
    • no raw unblockables
    • no dash into GB
    • His light and ZA are slower than needed to be used as 'unreactables' like Warden or PK
    • His heavies are slow enough to be parry-bait
    • You're locked into a super-telegraphed side for your dash attack, so that's parry/dodge bait, and if you want to cancel you have to cancel very early and the recovery after cancel is very long
    • His riptide strike, if you miss has a recover time of FOREVER
    • His heavy after deflect is beaten by light attacks and GBs
    • His stamina is weak
    • And he STILL has worse damage options than PK or Berserker.

Orochi is low mid-tier at best. He's good for stomping noobs that mash buttons...if you have good reaction time.

Similarly, some other heroes have good 50/50 options like Shugoki / Conqueror (Unblockable / GB) that's not as fast, but still workable, Orochi doesn't have that at all. The best Orochi can do is try to win with a feint. Even feints don't work in Orochi's favor because of the risk vs reward. Orochi doesn't have enough HP to win a feint vs defense war.

What do you mean by '50/50' options?

    50/50[edit]
A kind of mixup, that gives a player effectively 2 offensive options, which can't be defended against both at the same time, thus giving the player a 50% chance of successful hit in case of proper execution.

Play a Warlord or Conqueror or Warden or any character who has a significant damage / HP advantage with a good 50/50 option... You will beat every Orochi who is your skill level.

    1) Take a deep breath... Just block and counter GB. Maybe practice a few games. Try not to spam attack as some cheap stress relief therapy. Just calm down and block. Don't get GB'd by being ready to counter. See if you can drag out a match until the end... It's surprisingly easy because an Orochi has no real good 50/50 option against a good defense.

    2) Once you can block about 80% of the time, add in parries. Now not only are you calm and untouchable, he have to be careful with his attacks. Learn to punish after party.

    3) You shouldn't even need this but in case you do... Learn to force a 50/50. Usually unlockable + GB mix-up is a good 50/50.

If you even get defeated by an Orochi... Read those 3 points and i promise you that you must have missed one aspect of it.

There is literally no way to lose against an Orochi if you follow these 3 points and your opponent isn't a few tiers of reaction speed ahead of you.
Summary: Counter assassins with the TRUE OP meta of the game: Unpunishable Defense.

git gud, lol. I would agree that orochi is not on top of everything but using false arguments is a nogo. If you just randomly spam dodgeattacks and rushes you will fail, these are tools for specific situations but his "basics" are on top of the leaderboard + he got everything u need.
Orochi got the same Mixup like the warden 15frames High light or 12frames zone. But Orochis zone is not punishable with a GB on block, and his up light deals more damage.
His zone can be used with a fake indicator like pk too. Making his offense the 2nd strongest ezpz mixup after peacekeeper and before warden. With the highest damage in game.
As an assasin he got these superdodges, even without stamina.

Add peacekeepers to the list of classes that can't beat a block/parry defender who spams GB

My main is Orochi and i can say this is totally right.. In high level games is really difficult to play against other classes such as warden, warlord for example.. every point u say is right.. personally i dont understand why they are still complaining about orochi's and say nothing about the balance difference betweeen warden an orochi, the mix ups the tools warden has. If u compares orochi's tools and mix up with any other char, orochi loses. So all this things makes orochi a really difficult char to play with in high level.

But yes as u said, orochi is really good to kill noobs.
