    Orochi is dead...

    Thank me later...

Play a Warlord or Conqueror or Warden or any character who has a significant damage / HP advantage with a good 50/50 option... You will beat every Orochi who is your skill level.

    1) Take a deep breath... Just block and counter GB. Maybe practice a few games. Try not to spam attack as some cheap stress relief therapy. Just calm down and block. Don't get GB'd by being ready to counter. See if you can drag out a match until the end... It's surprisingly easy because an Orochi has no real good 50/50 option against a good defense.

    2) Once you can block about 80% of the time, add in parries. Now not only are you calm and untouchable, he have to be careful with his attacks. Learn to punish after party.

    3) You shouldn't even need this but in case you do... Learn to force a 50/50. Usually unlockable + GB mix-up is a good 50/50.

If you even get defeated by an Orochi... Read those 3 points and i promise you that you must have missed one aspect of it.

There is literally no way to lose against an Orochi if you follow these 3 points and your opponent isn't a few tiers of reaction speed ahead of you.

Lies. Orochi is OP. Everyone knows that. Such poor excuses and explanation of tactics means you must be an Orochi player!

As an Orochi main through closed beta, open beta, and live game. I can confirm this is how you can beat an Orochi easy. Guard break and parries are an Orochi's kryptonite.

You're just saying "an overly defensive play style that goes for parry punished will be an orochi"

uh, that's because it will beat any character. that's the optimal way to play right now. An orochi playing defensively and going for deflect and parries will also be able to kill anything. Orochi players just like to spam dodge attack and light attacks instead of getting defensive, so for some reason think that getting defensive isn't an option for them???

Except of a zone attack spamming Warden.

Except that you can't spam zone attack due to huge stamina requirement.

Nope. This doesn't work against some other top tier / high tier heroes.

Orochi's CANNOT open you up with a 50/50, so if you play defensive, they LOSE PERIOD. They have no tools, do you see what I mean?

For example, you can be a perfect player against my Warden and I will still hit you half of the time with Bash / GB mixup and the Light Attack Feints / ZA mixup. Wardens have tools to open up an opponent, Orochis don't.

Similarly, some other heroes have good 50/50 options like Shugoki / Conqueror (Unblockable / GB) that's not as fast, but still workable, Orochi doesn't have that at all. The best Orochi can do is try to win with a feint. Even feints don't work in Orochi's favor because of the risk vs reward. Orochi doesn't have enough HP to win a feint vs defense war.

That's the difference. As you can see, these steps are pretty much definitive for beating Orochis (who has no options). There might be other heroes with no offensive 50/50s as well, I just don't have a list in my head right now.

    Keep spreading the word brother

As an Orochi main I would give up my weak overhead double hit for a built in mixup mechanic without hesitation. Maybe once they fix Beserker, I'll give him a whirl. Scratch that Valk looks like alot of fun.

REWORKOROCHI, DON'T NERF OR BUFF HIM

Their as boring to fight as wardens who endlessly spam vortex and zone attacks. Except easier to beat.
