Hanging up my rep 4 raider

I'm very near rep 5, with full gear but it's time to switch classes. I have to wildly overplay my opponent to win (know every classes moves and mechanics, hours of bot practice, YouTube research, etc) and I'm really only useful in dominion because usually my tactics are better and I know when to use my unblockable and kill before revenge kicks in.

I kept sticking with it in hopes they'd buff it in the first patch but no dice. So I guess it's time to reroll warlord and get them easier wins. Plus I can use my leftover steel from raider salvages.

I hate to do it but I have to because when I see a raider on the enemy team I get happy cause I know I and my team can neutralize him easily. So I'm off for easier pastures for now.

    Sad.

Lol, exactly the same for me, I stopped playing Raider on rep 5 full stuff and switch to Lawbringer (He is not that good but noobkiller and I'm OK with this ^^) and when I see a Raider on enemy team I know he will have a very very bad moment cause I know every trick.

Last game on Dominion (where stuff count), I face a rep 5 lvl 108 gear Raider against my lvl 5 no stuff Lawbringer. He couldn't even land me a strike and I won easily this Duel. He came back 5 time on my point and 5 times I countered/parry all his move. Could do it with every class.

I don't think Raider will ever be good in that state, that's just cheesy move and when you know every tricks, he can't go through...

In that state I think Raider is for sure the worst character in the whole game, by far...

Wow! I guess I am not the only one. I am almost at prestige 5 and I had been doing all right in duels up until the last couple days. Now it seems everyone know my move set and can dodge parry basically all my attacks. I have spent a lot of time trying to get good with him only to realize I have to play every match pretty much perfectly to have a chance.

I told my friends this last night and basically they said that when they get a Raider in a duel they figure they got a 3-0.

Really hope UBI will fix him to make him viable. Because I love the character and he was one of my main attractions to the game.

When you guard break into unblockable

And even this sometimes is weirding out. Saw people parry it on TrU3Ta1ent´s stream and tried it with a friend.

If that guardbreak into unblockable isn't guaranteed then its safe to say that Raider is in a really bad spot right now in terms of viability

All raider needs is the ability to follow up guard breaks with a heavy. Or, at the very least, to follow up wall throws with a heavy.

Run with someone and throw them onto the ground -> no follow up at all. This should at least give you a light.

Run with someone, bash them into a wall, knee them in their face -> no follow up except for a light attack. ?????

Raider could also very much use better attack chains.

light -> light -> light is bad

he needs a chain that start with light and leads into heavy. Light -> heavy -> light would be nice.

I guess we will have to wait a long time before dev's will fix or buff anything regarding raider.
So far they released not a single patch and this forum or reddit are full of bugs on all kinds of characters.
Raider is a good noobstomper so i guess he is pretty low on priority.

I destroy Orochi with Kensai, I get destroyed by Orochi with Raider. Raider is great at knocking people off the map but you're right, his Fury attack needs to either do more damage or cost less stamina. I am a better duelist with Kensei

Actually Lawbringer's charge takes up roughly 40% of his stamina to use the charge, and 60-ish% to carry them the full distance, which is still nowhere near as far as the raider, but still pretty far. On top of that, there's no guaranteed damage out of the charge unless you knock them against a wall, then it's combo town.
