It's killing the mode. Expecially in Brawls because ppl group up only to play characters like raider or valkia or lawbringer just to push you off ledge. They play defensively and they rush to the nearest ledge or spike/fire so you are forced to go to them. They will always go 2v1 against you even if your teammates is on the other guy.
So you know what they're going to do and you can't counter it and you want them to change the game? How about getting better at the game and stopping it from happening.

In a sense the game does force you to fight near ledges (only in duels and brawls) purely by map design. I feel like Ubi overloaded those mini maps for brawls and duels with enviornmental kills.Originally Posted by Hackfraysn Go to original post
What you found is a player who can't mind their surroundings, isn't skilled enough to stop something that is clearly a part of the players tool kit from being done to him, so he chose to come here and whine in the hopes they would change the game because he can't garner enough skill to stop it.

I would really love to see less ledges in 1v1.It isn't so bad most of the time,but some maps are really sad to play against a cheeser(looking at you Ruin Tower and the unavoidable bridge).Hopefully the next patch will increase the window for cgb,so people will actually be forced to fight rather than spam grabs.
I don't think they need to remove them altogether, just mix maps in to the rotation that don't have insta-kill elements or at least as many of them.
On maps when you are fighting on the skinny bridges and such most of the time it just devolves in to a pushing match to see who can get the throw first.
Which if you like that, cool....but I among others like to use all of the mechanics of the game and have an actual fight. Opposed to using just 1 mechanic all the time because it equates to the fastest kill, and that is a fact objectively and also why so many people are so dependent on guard breaking and throwing.
So I think we should all have a chance to play our way.
Give me some maps without insta kill throws every where and mix them in the rotations of the 5 round sets and map voting for all game modes and I'll be satiated.
(but for the record I also wouldn't mind if they just completely removed the insta-kill throws from the game altogether.)
