Guard break counter is too easy enough. Don't fix it. Fix the tutorial instead!!!

Yes I know what you guys are about to say. But CGB is Not Hard At All. All you need to do is To Wait For The White Shield To Appear On Your Character and press CGB button. The video below will explain my point. Trust me I was TERRIBLE at Countering GB, but after 5 mins practicing I can CGB easily 90% of the time. Longer CGB duration will destroy the mechanic. I know that the game need to be friendly to new players, but CGB is not hard AT ALL. All your frustration comes from the tutorial that does not show you how to CGB correctly. Once they fix the tutorial and instruct new player to Press Button When the White Shield appear, everything will be fine.

Try this yourself. If you find this thread useful then leave a comment so everyone can see. FIXING GB WILL KILL THE MECHANIC.

P/s: for people who say that GB should not interrupt atk. It can only do that in a very very very tiny window, and personally I don't think that's the problem at all. Because without that people can just spamming atk at you, especially assassin classes.

P/s 2: forgot to mention that you don't need super reflex to CGB. The window to CGB is long enough for you to move your hand from joystick to CGB button

Great video, now reliably do it in combat against actual people when latency is involved.

That's what people are crying about, not how to do it to a bot.

BTW, I like how it is now and don't want it to revert to the BETA with the counter occurring at the beginning of the attempt. I like it when you have to wait for their hands to actually touch you (white shield) prior to countering. It makes it more skill/timing based and less just spamming the button the moment you see them go red-shield.

But, I also recognize it's the latency issue people are complaining about making CGB difficult.

Besides that I think reversing the GB counter to it's previous state is a good thing since the system is currently broken atm and prevent you from CGBing if your opponent do it at the same time as you do.

Besides I think they should also make GB only working on characters guarding or being idle (or in the recovery of an attack). Being able to GB during an attack and during a dash doesn't make any sense to me.

If countering GB is made too easy, it would be impossible to win against defensive players, especially with shield classes. And parry will be too op. That's why GB should be able to stop attack at the very start as you can feint to trick opponent to parry and then GB them.
