Conqueror viability at high lvl play

Thus far I have been maining the Conq. I have been doing quite well with him but I've seen a lot of posts with conflicting information on how this class performs in high lvl play. Am I wasting my time mastering a class that will not be viable after I climb the ranks?

It's very viable. A good Conquerer can be a hard nut to cracker even for experienced players.

In today's tournament of 128 players, a Conquerer made the grand final and lost 3-2 to a very good Warlord.

Although on average Conq is decent strong. here are two problems with it (except the free guardbreak after block, which i don't mention cause it's too hilarious):
    1. His moveset is quiet limited. It just offers like one viable combo and thats about it. Predictable, monotonous and boring.
    2. He cannot feint. Which is imo a huge disadvantage. It forces Conq into defense, or worse, passive play.

Definitely needs some adabtion. Maybe a wider moveset.

Conq CAN feint, you just have to use the all guard stance which costs a ****load of stamina

I think the character has a great potential and to be honest I don't think you have to be worry if you're doing well with him/her so far.

I suppose it might be. If it does, however, it will take considerable more effort to do so. It has a limited moveset, no feint (all guard is ****), low damage, and is extremely slow. It has very little offensive options.

The Conqueror has great potential, especially in outnumbered fights. His move set and skills allow him to literally hold the entire enemy team whilst allies can recover, reinforce, regroup and push them back. One massive gripe I have about him is his lack of heavy attack damage (23hp compared to 25) unless scaled with attack on his weapon.

I main Conq, and this is the main problem with him, specially on duels/brawls, he is the ONLY class that cannot execute a character with 1 bar of HP with a Heavy Attack, even Valk can, 1 bar = 25 points, so enemies can always run and recover, preventing from a GB-Heavy kill. You have to do extra work to kill people.

I also main Conqueror, and the biggest problem he has is the 23 dmg heavy instead of 25 hp. You need to outplay your opponent twice in a short window to finish off an enemy, while other classes only need to outplay their opponent once.
