Interesting tip, will give this a try tonight. I dont really have problems blocking but it might boost my ability to parry and deflect perhaps. Not too much faith in this but will try and let You know!

I am using keyboard and mouse and am rocking with it. Have a controller but it is not as good. You have to do some changes to the default layout though. You have to make it so it only guards when you hold a button and make that button "shift". space is evade, alt is counter guard. Probably some other minor changes I made don't remember but yeah those matter. Mouse 4 is common for guard break as well, I just liked left alt. Executions are scroll up and scroll down

Okey, tried it and didn't like it. I feel using mouse gives me more freedom, however i did learn something from this. When keeping a button pressed for a longer time does not mean that my hero will keep blocking from that side, he will only block for the first time and then i would have to repress that button to block again from that time, as a hero that doesn't have infinite block time. This could very well be a reason why sometimes i dont block with mouse on the same side or something because i would have to reblock not just keep my mouse as it is hoping char would keep blocking from the last blocked side, esp for long attacks like the berserkers axe flurry. This isn't so with the controller tho if you keep analog stick to a side you keep blocking there.
But overall i still feel KB/M normal setting just feint "F" GB "E" is best. I might try GB mouse scroll up or down once they remake it since then spamming it might be better, like it was in beta.

I still can't settle on settings I like for mouse/keyboard, I'll give this a try. I rebound guard to WAD but when I move my mouse it still changes guard, any way to turn that off?

Not sure, I honestly think you will be too slow to guard with using keys anyways Could be wrong though.

If you're using wsad as block what do you use as movement keys?

You still use WASD to move, it just moves your guard with you.

I rebound mine to 1(left)/2(top)/3(right) for the quick accessibility and the 1/2/3 feats to v/f/g, emotes to z/x and disabled the quick chat (don't forget to unbind the "~" if you go for it, as when your finger slips from 1 to ~ it can be fatal). Also watch out for the mouse movement as you can still accidentally switch stances with it and not have time to block in the actual direction.

Btw if you edit the .ini in the my games folder you can bind both w and s to block top. In case you stay with your weird setup
