    Valkyrie

    Upcoming buffs:
    Light Attacks: reduced recovery time
    Light Chains: reduced time between attacks
    Pouncing Thrust & Hunter’s Strike: Increased damage and link options after those moves
    Shield Crush: add link to Light Attack chains
    Hunter’s Rush: reduced recovery time

    Current issues:
    (Feature)Hybrid - We're a Heavy/Assassin. In which we have the stamina costs, attack speed and movement of a heavy. While having the health and damage of an assassin

    (Feature)Light attack - if blocked dodged or parried you get punished. (Might be getting fixed with recovery time. MAYBE)

    (Feature)Dodge - Changes you guard. Then gives you no guard. Also has an extended recovery time. I.E. I dodged out of the way of someones attack and didn't poke them. They finished their heavy. And proceeded to do ANOTHER heavy attack before I was even able to block. Was still recovering from dodging (This was against a law bringer. Left side heavy my PoV)

    (Feature)Shield Charge - When dodging backwards going into full defense mode and proceeding to charge forwards. You must remain in contact with someone for 1.5 seconds before they ever get hit e.g. Peace keeper attacked DURING the charge. Hit my full block and proceeded to dodge out of the way while punishing me for the 5 second recovery time of missing this move.

    (Feature)Attack Speed: Light attack is slower than other classes heavy attack. Put simply a Javelin weighs 28 oz A spear has roughly the same weight. You push this forwards SLOWER than a greatsword swung at waist height.

    Just comparing Warden to Valk in this description: Warden Wears full plate mail weighs 15–25 kg (33-55 pounds) Also means you'd be wearing chain mail 9.5kg. or 20ish pounds. So right off the start you're wearing 25-35kg/50-75lbs worth of armor. And holding a weapon that weighs 4-10lbs or 2-5kg Totaling an astonishing 79lbs or 30kg at it's minimum. And you're able to swing it faster than a Valkyrie wearing leather totaling around 15lbs or 7kg and holding a spear that weighs less than 2lbs or 0.8kg. This doesn't make any sense to me. I get for the game to have merit it does have to be some what unrealistic, however so much so that you can justify saying 100lbs can be thrown around faster and farther than 2lbs?

    Is this just a gross oversight or we trying to say Valkyrie because they're women are slow as hell and aren't strong at all? You already took their damage too far. But this? This is just sexist.

    (Feature)Damage - Comparing the class with the closest amount of damage - Peace keeper. When you're on one bar of health (The regeneration point) 1 Heavy will kill you. This applies to you attack others as well. However! 2 lights will kill you. You're required to land 3 lights.

    (Feature)Vortex - Requires to land a shield bash which can be easily dodged. And then followed up with Guard break or Sweep both which can easily be countered. The shield bash does NOT chain into anything other than these two moves. There is no guarantee after using it which is fine. But there's no choices after it either. The other classes that have a vortex either have A. A guarantee or B. Many options.

    (Feature)Deflect/Superior Light attacks - Suppose to be able to deflect on dodge or block on light attack. Light attack comes out so slowly that it will never successfully block an attack unless it's done with such perfect timing that yes you blocked the attack but they recover fast enough to block your attack that blocked their attack. Deflect window is smaller than all Assassin's deflect window while also giving massive recovery time if you don't attack off the deflect. (So much recovery time that you can treat it as a dodge where your opponent can just hit you for dodging)

    (Feature)Health: Without gear stats changing base Currently can be killed in 2 swings by Shoguki 3-5 swings by most classes and 4-5 swings by Peacekeeper/other Valkyries

    (Feature)Range - Even though we wield a spear. A weapon that should have a larger range than swords/daggers/flails if our breasts are not actively touching the enemy we are NOT close enough to hit them. If we use guard break and miss or any attack other than dodge forward and leap we will remain in exactly the same spot. We do not move when we attack while other classes can.

    (Bug)Sweep - When sweep is almost successfully dodged but still connects (They dodge early then you sweep your sweep catches them the frame after their dodge immunity ends) they will fall outside of your range to land any attack. Dodge forward and leap or top heavy. These are normally your only options but in this situation neither will hit.

    (Bug)Shoulder Pin block - When fighting a bot I was able to get this to occur once in a while. Level 3 bot (Which tells me it's probably not possible by a human) Deflect the attack. Immediately shoulder pin it gets BLOCKED. Blocked an unblockable counter attack...

    (Bug)Shoulder Pin Bleed - If you use Shoulder pin then a second time in quick succession - All additional attacks don't stack. Only extend the duration to max initial bleed damage. e.g. Bleed does 20 damage. It's ticked once for 4 damage. You shoulder pin. Instead of now have 36damage worth of bleed you simply have 20 While the hit itself doesn't do any damage at all. The bleed is only "truly" applied on the first attack. Similar to current Peace keeper bug

    (Bug)Inputs declined/changed - e.g. If you Guard break (Press the button one time) And IMMEDIATELY put in a second input, Light attack/Heavy Attack It will headbutt as if you hit Guard Break a second time. (I have been able to recreate this with around 80% success)

    (Bug)Zone Attack Targeting - If you use your Zone attack you will swing once in the direction you're aiming. If you're locked onto an enemy you will swing the second time in the same direction however, if you are at B you will swing the second time in a random direction. Occasionally targeting your own minions. - Minor bug

    (Bug)Zone Attack Stamina - If you use zone attack while at B (C on the Shard) for dominion and immediately use a Light attack it will consume the stamina of the light attack whistle still doing a zone attack - Minor bug

    Suggested fixes

    Hybrid - If we're going to have the health and damage of an Assassin give us the Attack speed they have as well. If we're going to have the Stamina cost and attack speed of a Heavey give us the Health of one as well. You can't take the negetive aspects of two different classes and put them in one. One extreme is no better than the other.

    Light attack - That should be fixed

    Dodge - Just make Guard persistent and reduce recovery time to be in line with other classes

    Shield Charge - If it hits. It hits. Not has to hit and continue hitting - Simple fix

    Attack Speed - Should be fixed with Light attack recovery time. We'll see.

    Damage - Bring her in line with other like classes (Nobu/PK/Orochi)

    Vortex - Give us options

    Deflect/Superior Light attacks - Increase the success window to make up for the fact that even on 200 up/down fiber (Uncapped tests at 801 down 891 up)
    P2P still causes issues

    Range - Bring us in line with other classes. Most classes hit box are the weapon and they step forwards with every swing. Our hitbox is our fist and we're 100% sationary with every attack.

    Sweep - This makes it so your vortex (the only thing you really have going for you) unusable

    Shoulder Pin Block - Can't recreate with any substantial success. Has only happened with bots. Very minor issue.

    Shoulder Pin Bleed - 100% recreation rate. Takes our highest risk and lowest reward ability and drops the reward even further.

    Input bug - I don't know. I can't program to save my life. You're on your own here. But would love to see it fixed. No other classes have this issue. And it's not a controller issue since I can recreate it on Xbox 360 PS4 and M&KB controls but only for valk

    Zone Attack Bug(s) - 100% recreate success rate - Minor

    Health - Total health of the Hero
    Stamina - Total actions that can be taken before reaching "Exhausted" state
    Exhausted - Attacks slowed even further. Parries and throws will knock you down.
    Damage - Damage dealt per hit (Skewed by defense of the enemy hero)
    Range - The distance at which your attacks will reach
    Defense - Total damage reduced per attack
    Block - Stopping damage from a given direction
    Unblockable - Ability that cannot be blocked
    Parry - Counter an attack with a precisely timed heavy attack
    Deflect - Counter an attack with a precisely timed dodge
    Superior Light attack - Causes your light attacks to block in the same direction during the startup

    Bleed - A Damage-over-Time (DoT) effect applied by some attacks
    Recovery time - The time it takes to recover from a missed/block/parried attack/technique
    Chain attacks - Attacks that can be used in (not so quick) succession
    Link Options - An attack that starts different chain attacks
    Vortex - The "Vortex" is a term used to describe having a number of different attack options after landing an knockdown or wall throw.

    Happy to see someone putting some actual data down here, I want to love Valkyrie and I yearn for the day she gets her buffs but I just couldn't be bothered to sit down and analyze all various factors that makes her the least competitive character.

    I think my biggest issue with her is her lack of reach and speed, as you said, her attacks are so mind-numbingly slow I sometimes wonder why she can even attack at all. What makes no sense to me is how when you knock them down - you knock them so far off you can't even hit them. And for being a lightweight character, she sure has absolutely abysmal stamina.

    Also, just cause the developers or some Ubi representative doesn't respond it doesn't necessarily mean they don't read the forums, I'm sure they do. And bumping your thread is against the forum rules, just a friendly heads-up

    Her health seems rather low as well she is an assassin Heavy hybrid so shouldnt she get a little more health than the normal assassins? I mean yeah she has a shield and can use full guard but its not nearly as easy to utilise as the heavies like warlord or conqueror.

    Why no one's talking about the broken hit detection on spear sweep? Currently if you side step dodge single time you can avoid it even thought the sweep still literally goes through the feets. This needs to be fixed, because its total bs. that this kind of hit decetion bug was allowed to pass on final game.

    I literally just googled it. Wasn't paying attention the statement I was reading is as quoted

    Two-handed sword, Scottish, mid 16th century, (IX.926). Weight: 5 lb 10oz. One of the most outrageous (and wildly incorrect) statements made about Medieval swords is that they were heavy and weighed as much as 40 pounds.

    So... It's be corrected. But the rest of the statement still stands true.

    What you're complaining about isn't an issue with Valkyrie though. You're issue is with dodge hit detection in itself. You can dematerialize through swords and maces in this game when you dodge. There's a whole thread about it. Actually like 40. ^_^

    This is a very big issue but I'm pretty sure it's intended. I will add it to the list though. I personally get annoyed with getting killed in 2-3 hits while other classes can take 5-8 Even orochi averages 5

    No they do. But with how often I see just spams of Chinese or "Buy something here at .exe" and it stays up for hours. Tells me they aren't very active. And while I doubt they'll take the time to respond because lets be honest. If they responded what COULD they say?

    It would be bad if they did that. Yea they'd have a lot more "Presence" but there was be a large hole that creates in the community. Like we know you're actually here. But you don't care enough to give us actual answers or opinions?
    I understand why they don't respond and I respect it. I just want a confirmation that they've read/heard something someone considers an issue.

    Now if this were another QQ-Rage-Nerf thread about Orochi/Warden/Warlord/Dodging/Gear/Matchmaking I would 100% understand why they take no effort to even acknowledge it exists. It'll only make trouble.

    Def wasn't bumping. Just saving spots for the future incase I need more space to write!

    Glad to see people are in agreement of Valk's problems. I main her right now and whenever I decide to talk about her problems with some friends they decide to question and say "she's not that bad, just learn her kit better". Funny considering they main the overused Orochi, Warden, and Peacekeepers right? Also glad to see I'm not crazy and others agree that her shield bash has horrendous hit detection, using in usually just sets you up for massive damage to your miniscule health pool. I understand she's this assassin heavy but suffers from little health with no damage to back as well as a lack of speed.

    I was really hoping for Valk to be good considering my previous main, Raider (I'm all Vikings lol), I swear hasn't changed since the alpha! Overall just a bad pick atm.
