So many people seem to have issues on the forums with guard breaking, environmental kills ect, ect.
Seeing all this i have come up with a strategy that works most of the time when you are unfortunate to get the bridge section of the forest map.
Also note this can work just as effectively on any map that starts you near an environmental hazard.

Unless you are fighting fat samurai or raider, all you have to do is parry

Ive found this works against all heroes to be honest, its all to do with the timing and skill of your opponent.

Joke aside, a map like this should be removed entirely from 1v1. A bit of environmental kill is fun but a bridge like this is bs. Even when people are fighting fairly, it's still give so much advantage toward tanky classes.

A parry from the lighter samurai classes can knock off the heavies quite easily. that said relentless attacks and dodges will ensure you dont get knocked off.

I am thinking about making an actual tutorial video on the bridge as i seem to go alright on it, with a 94% win ratio in duels. the rock paper scissors mentality comes into full effect on this types of maps because one mistake does get you killed.

I know but I meant when they agree to not use environmental kill to win the match(which most people do, at least in my region 1v1). This map still favor tanky hero so much as there aren't much room to dodge.

Wait wait wait, people are agreeing during a match to not use environmental kills? Where are these people and how can i find them!?! free wins all day!

The environment is likely the most influential tool this game has to offer. just pushing someone in the vicinity of a cliff or a fire is enough to make them shake and lose focus.

Just play Shugoki and do charge of the oni. Will win you a bridge fight guaranteed.

I've realized not many people notice that you don't have to fight on the bridge.

Walk backwards and you'll get a little patch of an area that's perfect for smaller scale dueling, surprisingly not many see this and I don't blame them.
