Make Dominion the faction war mode

Here's an experience i just had in a game of dominion that i'm sure we've all had:

I (a knight) get put in a team with another knight and two samurai, the enemy team has all 3 factions, our soldiers are vikings (for some reason) and their soldiers are knights. So i'm there slaughtering dozens of little knights so the little vikings can take the point and some big vikings are killing the little vikings. Then i get attacked by another knight and fight him, and so on and so on. And then ultimately if we win or lose it doesn't even matter, there's knights on both teams so the knights get war assets either way.

The faction war sadly isn't really a thing in the game other than a fancy wallpaper for the main menu that sometimes changes colors. There are no gameplay implications, i never feel like i'm really a knight fighting for the knights, i probably killed an equal number of knights as i have vikings or samurai.

My proposal is to turn dominion into the official faction war mode, which would mean:
    - Faction locked matchmaking, only one faction per team
    - The little soldiers have to be from the same faction as the team
    - Faction locked hero selection, so knight players could only play knights and so on

(I realize the last one might be controversial and not everyone would agree, but i think all of us can agree on the first two at least and even just that would be great)

This could possibly also apply to skirmish since it also has the little soldiers.

    Anyway, thoughts, comments?

The biggest issue with this is that it forces you to have to choose the same faction as your friend, or be unable to play Dominion together. Now, some of my friends coordinated with me and chose the same faction; but a few other friends preferred one of the other two and chose that as their faction. This change would prevent me from ever playing Dominion with my friends from the other Faction.

Whether my team's soldiers are of my faction or not really doesn't matter to me. I suppose I could see how it might bother some people but I honestly think it's a major nitpick.

While I think Faction locking heroes might be interesting, there's no need to make this change in Dominion specifically. I prefer to play the characters I want to play, and I don't feel weird killing a knight as a knight, for example.

I think these suggestions would work out ok as a specific mode or special event, but there's zero reason to make such drastic changes to Dominion.

My point is that I just don't want to see the current Dominion changed; I think this mode would be fine as an additional Dominion variant (similar to Elimination/Skirmish) but would have to be one which is separately selected (unlike "Deathmatch" selecting between the two).
