Alot of people complain about the ********ery going on in 4v4/dominion so I got a few simple bits of advice to spread around to people which I hope will help them. I'd go a bit more comprehensive but I'm sort of just rolling out of bed right now. This is just the bare-basics, which for players who understand the games mechanics will know how to work with and these should at least give more success in the low/mid tier matchmaking bracket.

These will never guarantee success but will definitely help alot.

Keep Calm and Fight On

First off, panic is your enemy. It is a greater enemy than the 3-4 guys chasing you all over the map while your team is farming 50k minions for their daily or something. Remember to breathe, remember to watch for exterior block signals. Remember to react, don't freeze up, chill out. Keep calm and murder on.

Find an Environment that gives you the advantage

As the title says, if you are able to, find a location that plays to your current heroes strengths, and the enemies weaknesses. Does the enemy fixate on zone attacks? Is the hero your playing focused on range? Find a narrow hallway and funnel them into it. Are you pretty good at countering guard breaks and have a hero that is good at knocking people around and such? Find a place with ledges and open space. Are you Shugoki? Well, find a thin bridge and hold shift+spacebar and laugh your *** off at how cheesey our thicc af weebman is. Basically, you should have a general idea of what you can do to them, and they can do to you.

Parry Parry Parry Parry Parry

Parry will give you a free universal-block every time. Use this to your advantage, it will also drain the stamina of your opponents and build up a crap-ton of revenge. The block-frames last for a second and a half, maybe two. I'm not sure how it is on every hero, but they do last long enough to let you live.

Single out their weak link, separate, execute.

Watch carefully whoever happens to be the worst at avoiding guard breaks, shoves, etc. Get a quick guard break or shove or whatever sort of displacement you have on them and kill them quickly. Thats one less opponent to worry about.

Be VERY careful about executions

Seriously, these will get you killed if the enemy team isn't far away. They lock you in place and theres no means of canceling the animation immediately.

Use Revenge Intelligently

DO NOT pop it the second you get it unless you are surrounded. Revenge has a knockback effect on those that are close to you. It can be activated while being guard-broken as well so you can save it as a free gb-counter and throw the enemy off that is doing it. When in revenge, take advantage of zone attacks but also make sure to keep defense in mind. Too often you will see someone pop revenge and immediately die because of carelessly flailing heavy/zone attacks without paying attention to the fact they are being hit. Revenge doesn't make you invincible, it doesn't give you much of a shield. Just play like you normally would while in revenge, and you will find more success, at least in my opinion.

I doubt thats everything possible that can be done but I hope this helps. Just practice parrying and guard break counters, remember you can block opponents your not locked onto as well. Don't be afraid to cheese them either. If you have teammates around just lead them to your team. If your all alone, just keep calm and try your best, you may pull off something amazing. The first reaction to being ganged up on should NOT be getting pissed off and giving up. Just keep calm and at least try.
