Any way to counter conq shield bash?

Cannot be blocked, parried, or dodged. Guaranteed knockdown or infinite bash/hit/bash/hit. What do you do?

The Warden / Conqueror / Warlord charges are extremely difficult to dodge for any class that isn't an assassin (assassin has faster and wider dodges). If you're playing a heavy class vs a Warden / Conqueror / Warlord charge, you have a miserable time trying to get out of the way. Unless you dodge within about 0.1 seconds of the ability being started, you will not be able to dodge. This means that you can be easily put in a GB/charge trap guessing game because you have to dodge so early. Sometimes you can't dodge the charge because of natural connection lag, even if you time it as best as you can. This is from my experience playing conqueror as my main class.

If you really despise being charged and want a more solid defense against it, you'll either need to play an assassin, or come up with some clever counter if your class has one available. I.e. the Shoguki's armor can negate the impact of one charge, allowing you to punish the charge with a hit (or even the bear hug if you predict the charge as it starts).

It's literally free to side dashes. If you are still getting hit you have to adapt. Your opponent shouldn't be sitting back and getting dash counter attacked on.

The second after the attack hits and you recover just mash side dash it's literally free

conq main here and this is some truth. i personally can almost always dodge a conq shield bash, but it took a long time to get the timing right. For me, warlords is undodgeable and wardens isnt worth dodging because he can gb out of shoulder charge in response.

that being said, there are some more class specific counters. nobushi can go into hidden stance and the bash will completely wiff. against a warlord headbutt, conq shield bash, and wardens shoulder charge, a conqueror can go into all guard AFTER he gets hit and block the free followup light attack(even the unblockable from warlord). be careful with your stamina tho because this will wear you down fast, and taking a hit in all guard knocks you down if it exhausts your stamina. i dont play warlord so i dont know if his all gaurd works the same.

Finally, if your opponent is spamming shield bash. almost any characters light attack will catch him.
