All characters are pretty well balanced imo so i wouldnt change a thing, except obvious bugs(shugoki..). Game mechanics itself needs fixing. Free GB after a dodge shouldnt be a thing. Only after parry but even this should be possible to counter but harder like you couldnt see red shield for example or make counter window tighter.

you have to guess and play the lottery and maybe he does the same thing you are trying to counter.

BUT i still think its fine as it is, warden just has a bit much of anything, but THAT move is not what should change (warden actually shouldnt change, but other should be buffed to his level ... i'm not maining warden, just saying)

valkyrie is supposed to have the same possibility with her shield-charge, but for her it just doesnt work (bugged, or not implemented but the moveset discription not updated)
she can only cancel it into a light-jump-attack but not into a GB
GB and attacks are not the same. You can dodge the charge and still reasonably dodge/block the attack if you time it right. YOU CANNOT dodge the charge and the GB from a warden. GB counters dodge. They just need to watch you and choose whether to counter or not. They should not be able to cancel into a GB, but I'd be fine with a light attack.

    Not really tho....

I play warden, when someone learns to dodge directly backwards. goodbye all of my combos.

you cannot REACT to what the warden is doing with his charge.

even if you tried waiting for the last possible moment, the window of opportunity (if there even is one, which isnt possible to see with human reaction) you cannot judge if he is going for a GB or the charge itself.
only thing you can do is dodge or GB on a whim and hope he did decided to go for the thing you are countering... if not, you will eat some damage.

in my opinion the charge and gb-cancel are fine, but you are just being rude.

a normal dodge back should be cought by the GB (if he cancels into it) ... GB against a back-dodge normally makes the one GB-ing just jump forward and grab the one dodging away.

The second part of the dodge, the animation roll, is inmmune to GB. If you input it quick enough (as is, spamming the dash button), you'll avoid the GB without any problem.

At the cost of a huge chunk of stamina, if he keeps charging and you keep rolling then you'll run out way before the Warden does.

Considering the stamina cost and the fact it means the Warden is safe from any sort of counter when you roll away, it's not a valid tactic for dealing with it.

It's not so simple. Rolling away gives you enough space, "reseting" the combat, so to speak. Now the Warden have to find his way to vortexing you again.

In fact, this vortex is only useful if the opponent is cornered. Part of the Warden's strategy is to get his opponent into a wall.

Dash forward twice and he's back in range... Plus if the solution is to run away, it's not a valid solution at all since it means the Warden has nothing to stop him from doing it again. How many times do people have to point out why rolling away is not a valid solution before people stop bringing it up?

It's not OP guys, you can run away.

i think that's a bit too much. i would rather buff warden in some other way and remove the cancel into Gb fron the shoulder-charge. i mean against a really good warden it's hard to escape from and almost impossible to punish

I think the best thing would be to make a one off exception for GB where if it's cancelled from the charge then you can GBC while dodging, it wouldn't apply to the Warden's normal GBs just when he cancels his charge with a GB.
