Lots wrong with this statement, first off....where does it state than a PSN sub guarantees us dedicated servers per game? That has never been stated, or guaranteed for any game, same goes for xbox sub.Originally Posted by rocks.cl Go to original post
Claiming abuse for something that was never promised to us is ridiculous.
I agree, the monthly subscriptions are so that we can play multiplayer or connect to online software etc. It has never or never will be purely for dedicated servers, not sure where you got that information from.Originally Posted by Kargion Go to original post
You pay teh fee in order to have a smoother and more stable and thus more enjoyable online play experience. I dont need to pay 5 bucks for that when I am p2p connected to some other guy.Originally Posted by Kargion Go to original post
So I don't know why you're making a troll post. But lets assume you're serious.Originally Posted by rocks.cl Go to original post
The monthly sub paid to PSN or Microsoft is there to cover your connection to THEIR servers which allow you to play OTHER online games. It has nothing to do with dedicated servers in any other game at all. Think if your $5 a month had to be split between the what. 3409823490823 games that have dedicated servers? how does that cover the cost? If you really want that to be the case I'm sure Microsoft/PSN would be happy to let you pay $6,000+ a month for the sub. Don't think you'll ever find another soul though.
Just stick to your pc because you have no idea what you are talking about.Originally Posted by rocks.cl Go to original post
I actually remember ps4 plus being required in early stages to play ANYTHING online, i'm actually more surprised this is not the case now. I pay for plus regardless, so i'm speaking from a vaccume, However, this is not a rip off at all, plus and gold services are usually required to play online games, specially when it comes to AAA. For Honor requires a one time payment for the game, that is it, what you need to do is go put this on the playstation forums, but you'll get the same response, the game and services are seperate, you shouldve known for honor was an online only game before spending 60 bucks of your money, its not as bad as final fantasy which requires a purchase, a monthly sub, AND ps plus.(does it requires plus? I forgot)Originally Posted by rocks.cl Go to original post
I do extensive research into EVERY game I purchase, I thought everyone did this out of pure common sense? What is wrong with you? You seriously put 60 bucks down on a product you know absolutely nothing about, except "Whoa samurais and vikings!"
This is the price thats required, if you don't like it, thats fine, i'm sure another game like this will come out in he future, possibly even single player only! By the way... just buy a 10 buck, one month plus sub, and test for honor out.. if you really like it, spend 50 on your next check, and take care of this issue for a FULL YEAR! with any game![]()

Trove works without a plus sub, yet its an mmo. However, if you ARE a plus member, you get a couple benefits within trove, so this makes me come to the conclusion that the plus service is actually an authentication type of thing. Some games, like huge AAA games, may be asked by Sony to require players to have a plus account, in order to then play ubisofts multiplayer.
Its not as if sony or ubisoft has this secret, all powerful dedicated server built for only plus members, that'd be silly, and many people would've brought it up over the years as a concern.
Honestly, did we expect anything else?
Maybe you didn't know, but Ubi has a horrible track record. Worse than even EA. They consistently release broken games, do not communicate with their customers, and take ages to make any attempt to remedy the situation.
Pretty sure the company motto is "over hype, under deliver."
The nuances of multiplayer gaming especially seem to escape them.
They screwed up AC Unity so hard, they ended up giving away their next AAA for free to those who got it.
Watchdogs 2 was a flop.
The Division had connection problems, serious lack of content, and major balance problems.
R6 Siege had the same p2p problems we have now, and was mostly unplayable for months. As well as basic performance issues.
Ubi doesn't care about their customers, it's a fact. They make games for SHAREHOLDERS. Unless you threaten class action, this game will remain a turd.
PS
Don't blame the developers. They made a great game. Ubi is just a horrible publisher, and it's mostly these big corporate types that are responsible for screwing up what real developers do. Setting unrealistic deadlines, refusing to support the game, ultimately leading to games launching unfinished or full of bugs. Good job to the dev team!
