If you cant manage to block (sometimes people are really good at spamming that one attack) you can initiate the shove if you time it right.
The thing, these exact "light-attack"-spamming heroes also have a very fast and far dash. So after they do their light-attacks and you initiate the shove, they can simply out-dash you.
And after your shove you're somewhat vulnerable and they can guardbreak you (you can counter, if you're fast tho).

Which kinda defeats the shove's purpose, if you ask me xD
