A Simple Yet Practical Suggestion for the Gear Appearance Change

So as we all probably know by now you can change the appearance of an item in your inventory to another piece of gear (etc you can change a Loran Helm to an Arcturus Helm). But if you do and you have no other gear of the same type and style you lose the ability to change that piece to its previous look and moreover give that style to another piece. In short if you do not have another Loran Helm in your inventory you cant have that look until you get another one. It might seems insignificant at first glance but when you think each character has a limit of 60 gear pieces then split into 6 sub-categories and then add the fact you get different loot the more time you invest in a character (etc a 5 prestige lawbringer doesnt get the same loot as a level 10 lawbringer), you can see you only have so many options if you want to change the looks of your armor and weapons while scrapping low tier gear for parts. My suggestion is that the devs introduce a new option to the players that would let you unlock permenantly the look of a certain item by either destroying it in the process or paying some steel or faction scrap (or the three combined but in a balanced way). This would allow the players to be able to change appearance at their leisure without worrying about losing the look of the piece. Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft do something in similar fashion and calling it "transmogrification". I believe that this is an easy way of giving more freedom in the creation of your own character in For Honor.

I'm totally agree with you. Once you unlock those appereances you could set for gold every time you wish, whitout hold useless items. Why should we keep inventory busy to allow the chance to change appereance again? It is an insane way to manage a simple mechanic.
