Because the way to fight an Orochi has been spelled out dozens of times in these forums, instead of bothering to actually read other posts and learn people just start yet another thread scream OP OP NERF with the same arguments (many don't even bother having these to be fair) that have been debunked countless times.
Orochi is great for beating players that aren't very good, that's all, if you have a high win percentage with him that will drop as you fight better players more consistently.
Prestige level has zero indication of skill. It just means he's played for a longer time. A person that has played non step since the beginning will be at a high prestige level, but if he's unable to block or counter-GB, he'll still be bad no matter his prestige score.
You also get a large amount of XP by playing domination - as well as it's easy to stat-pad kills by running around as a 2v1 or 3v1 gang. That's great, tactics and all, but doesn't mean they'll be good at 1v1 duels.
94% with how many matches? We dont have ranked yet, nor are the MMR calclulations even public yet. We dont even really know how match making works. I win duels too, many in fact - but the vast majority of the Orochi I encounter are light attack spammers (easily blocked and followed up with a GB), and most are unable to counter-GB out of a paper bag.
And besides, by your calculation, if you've won 94% of duels of say 100 duels, and you say Orochi are 26% of the player base, then by all accounts you must fought 26 Orochis, of which you must have defeated 25. Hmm.
One player's results don't mean anything tbf, you could just be really good at this game and Orochi specifically, as mentioned above the prestige system is volume based not skill.
If you think Orochi is the hardest to counter, you are mistaken as a good Warden or Warlord are far more difficult and by far the two best heros in the game in the hands of skilled players which is a view supported by most high level players.
that move is very easy to parry. i suck at deflects, and thats one of the easiest moves to deflect in the game for me. take this from an experienced orochi player, parrying an orochi can throw them off their game, sometimes long enough to kill them. waiting for an orochi to run out of stamina is also really useful. since most of his attacks are based off lights, 80% of his attacks, when parried, can allow for you to get a free heavy attack off.Originally Posted by Glaba24 Go to original post
I started playing the game few months ago in PS4 and Orochi can be so annoying. You didnt know well how the mechanichs of the game are and all you find in duels is a spam of orochis spamming lights so i can understand the point. However as far as you advance in the game as far you become ready to predict and avoid orochis spammers.
The very existence of this thread prove that its writer is bad at the game, does not know the game, and everyone that have the same opinion is equally idiotic.
Orochi is not faster than any other hero. He have 500 ms starting light like almost everyone else in the game, warden included. His dodge attacks are 600 ms, slower than most light attacks. His back-dodge attack is also 600 ms. You know, the 600 ms speed that make people say that Highlander light are not viable? His storm rush is 500 ms on one side only, as fast as a standard light attack. His zone is 500 ms, just like the zone of Warden, Tiandi, Kensei, etc, etc, etc. Those who complain about deflect might be the worst of the bunch. The windows of side deflect is 33 ms because of the i-frame having superiority to deflect frame. Its a move on prediction only, and with a timing that boil the move to luck. If you get deflected, you are previsible, don't know how to feint, and stupid enough to blame a move that is harder to pull than a parry and deal a mere 5 more damage than a light parry, which is arguably easier to perform than a deflect.
The first who say that a "skilled player whit Orochi is dangerous" in answers to that deserve a slap to the face with a metal gauntlet. ANY skilled player with ANY character is dangerous, and they would be a lot more dangerous with other character because all other characters in the game have more to their kit than Orochi and can do more than Orochi in the same situation. If you lose against a good Orochi, you would have lost regardless of the character the player used. The only way for an Orochi player to win is for the opponent to be bad enough to not be able to react 500 ms light and 800 ms heavy, with no mix-up whatsoever except hard feinting, which is something that ALL character can do.
Conclusion, Orochi is bad, if you lose against it you are either a bad player or your opponent was so much better that they would have won regardless of the character picked. Pick whatever can heal your pathetic ego that whine over losing to one of the worst character in the game.
