[SUGGESTION] Option to disable joining games in progress

Title is pretty self-explanatory. Personally, I don't like to join games in progress. In fact, I hate when that happens.

When you do, you're usually in the losing team, and severely underleveled (if in Dominion, Skirmish or Elimination). While devs are kind enough to give you 1 lvl perk and some experience, it's not fun to join during round 3 when your opponent can have lvl 3-4 perk and heal himself or shoot you during first contact (this is especially problematic in Elimination, as it is more 1vs1 oriented at the beginning of each round).
Moreover, current system for replacing a bot with player usually spawns freshly joined player at his position at the beginning of the round, so if you (or anyone else) replace bot early in the round, you can find yourself behind another player, at full health and stamina, while he can be pretty badly beaten up by the bot and exhausted - an unfair and frustrating advantage.
Lastly, I don't know if this is intended or a bug, but it seems that you can spawn after the bot you replaced died, effectively turning games into 5vs4, or (if your team is losing) into 1(you) vs 3-4 welcoming orgy. Not the most pleasant experience.

For reasons mentioned above I would like to have the option to never join in-progress game. Probably in form of an checkbox in F1 menu for each mode (I don't mind to join a Brawl in progress, as it has no Feats). I'm sure I'm not asking for smth crazy, because there are plenty of other games where this is implemented.

Thank you for your attention, really hoping for a Ubi staff comment.

    P.S

I am aware that implementing a system like this would probably cause my matchmaking to take a longer time - I'm completely ok with that and consider it a worthy tradeoff.

Seriously? not a single comment? Well then, I believe it is much more interesting to brag about assassins all day long...

Im picky about the threads I reply to, mainly due to the ignorant "Image Verification" crap that must be done each and every time, but I agree with you 100%. I loaded into just such a game today. All original players had quit and all new ones loaded in, myself included, and the game ended a few minutes later with 1240-40 score on Dominion. Frustrating to be certain.

Ok so every one turns off the option to join in progress then when you are in a game and someone leaves there is 0% chance for you to get a replacement. All MM systems queue people into games in progress....

I agree with this completely. I would rather wait a little longer in matchmaking than every single game that I join ends up being either almost over or my team is getting sauced.

And hate to say it but get used to it, if you throw down some useful feedback in this forum you just get attacked by the 'git guud' crowd that exploit every unbalanced mechanic in the game.

While this is a valid point, there are 2 issues with it:

    1) I believe about a half of playerbase would still have in-progress matchmaking enabled - there is no way so much people have such severe OCD as I do

    2) 95% of 4vs4 matches do not lead to rematches - everybody just leaves for whatever reasons, which leads to this:
    a) Not getting a player replacement is not that crucial (considering how kickass bots can be)
    b) This makes joining games in progress even more infuriating - imagine connecting and loading into 3 round of elimination, on losing side - and having to quit to strategic map after 3rd defeat because players don't want a rematch and leave. Sometimes you don't even get to play, lol.

    I agree

But for different reasons. When joining a game, its 90% certain its going to be a game in progress. That means you have to wait to deploy war assets until the game is over AND there's enough people to start a NEW game in the same lobby.

I don't like that. So I'd like to always start a fresh new game.

I don't care about bots, people don't get replaced anyway, not on your team. I've never had someone leave and be replaced by a new person. We always finish the game with the bot and THEN get a new person.

    i would like this too.

one thing they could do is rather than turn it off some people can't join in progress. have set like Skirmish and Elimination, where you set a preference that you would rather have a new game, and it looks for that first and if not throws you into a in progress game.

i would be cool with that, so atleast it would lower the time i get thrown into a game thats almost over i only get really fed up with it when i join a game that is almost over, then when its over the team leaves because they lost, so you start up match making and get thrown into another game thats almost ended, and end up in a loop, had 7 games in a row like that the other night.

I don't mind joining in progress, unless it's an elimination game where my team is down 0-2 and I spawn in dead.

I just literally joined at last 15 seconds of Elimination, after which everybody left, effectively wasting 3-5 minutes of my life... I want some control over my matchmaking. First we don't get servers, now we - ability to choose how exactly we play our game we paid 60 dollars for...
