lol. Clearly you have no idea how to play him right. While he lacks a lot of moves like other characters but most of them are really effective against everything.

Warden is ranking the best character for competitive at the moment.

    you serious?

the warden is clearly the most annoying, fastest class in the whole game atm. combine the fast moves with feints and rushes and it's a pain in the *** to play against you.

I don't know, I kept it ... friendly, it was hard, I almost started getting personal over this thread lol ... I really don't get you xD

yeah i saif all those the tests, that the warden could do with something more, i always always said that i'm not saying the warden is underpowered or bad. he is not.

it's just his moveset is very baron. he as the smallest set of moves and abilities of any character, so he can get a little boring, using the same stuff over and over.

he is good and was always my favourite in the tests, but just very basic.

You sir, do apparently not know how fights between good players look like.
It's basically just waiting, parrying, baiting, feinting. You literally never get any combos done in "higher Elo". Warden doesn't need it. The "Waiting" is perfect for him to just use his AoE and Upper every couple of seconds, because it is the strongest attack combined with Feinting.
And then there is this weird charge he has which also works perfectly with feinting and baiting.

Warden is the strongest character in the upper playerbase. Give him more movements and he will be way too op.

The playstyle is completely normal for Warden. He lacks any kind of kit, but is just naturally in a good spot with good damage and good speed with small advantages which when used right, can be very versatile.

TL:DR; Warden is a basic hero with a small kit, but when utilized correctly has very good speed and high damage with a shoulder bash mechanic.

i never said the warden was bad, i play the warden alot, and i do know what fights are like at highler levels of play (lol higher elo, realy?) that applies for all classes, i don't use some of the moves on the other classes very often, but it's nice to have them, so it doesn't change the fact that his kit is very basic, and not all matchs are high level. not all matchs are duels either.

the warden basically has one real move unquie to him, thats the shoulder charge, 2 if you can't the top counter.

as i said before the warden is not bad, it would just be nice to have a large moveset more inline with the other classes.

I think I see where OP is coming from, but I'm not sure other classes have it any "better", really. Light attacks left or right are easily parried, leading with the shoulder charge doesn't ever seem worth it, so you're really left with:

    Guard Break attempt
    Feint
    Top Light
    Zone Attack

The zone attack is really quick and good, the top light is not only fast but also does a boatload of damage if you counter with it, and feinting is just top-tier bread and butter for the most part.

My biggest concern is, if they remove the vortex (which I think is too strong in general), will the shoulder bash have much of a place besides a feint tool? And would that be fine if it were the case?

I don't really focus on volume of different moves, and more on the interaction between the two players, which I think is really fun regardless. I don't really think Warden needs more toys like some other heroes have, especially not in current state. Maybe in a future state if certain things bet nerfed/balanced.
