A Gentle request for some QoL

    Dear Ubisoft,

congratulations on the launch of For Honor.
With it, you now have the basics of a game that could really become a good game.
I'm not going to be the guy b*tching about class balance and OP movesets etc because quite honestly, I'm not that good (yet (hopefully)).
However, a couple things need to change for that FH to really go off in a big way.

First off: The current matchmaking system feels like it mainly focuses on throwing the needed amount of people together without really looking at anything else.
I've had far to many games where a team is up vs 2+ players who are miles ahead in levels and/or gearscore while the other team might even have a bot... If there is some sort of hidden elo or MMR ranking, it might need some refining... This creates far too many games that turn into pubstompers and that's the type of game that demoralizes new players and bores veteran players. To be fair, the matchmaking feels like it does a better job in Duel and Brawl than it does in the 4v4 modes.

Another thing about getting into games: it's enourmously frustrating to get throw into Dominion games where you replace a leaver and you join a game where your team has 50 points, enemy team is at 700 or similar margins... the team's morale is usually allready destroyed and usually there's no way you can turn that around anymore. The solution in this problem lies in discouraging people to leave games. Not getting their xp/steel just isn't going to cut it, give people a real motivation for it. I'm a fan of a system like LOL where if you leave a game, you can't queue for a new one for half an hour (or smth like that). In FH, this would work even better as most people generally won't have mulitple accounts where they would just jump to an alt account after getting a 30min ban.

Another note about joining games: pls fix the abundance of bugs while joining games. I'm talking about the 'Can't joined because full' bug, the random dc's etc etc... (no, this is not on my connection's side as my connection is very stable and hardly ever provides issues in any other game)

Also, the state of the interface and the way it works right now lacks severe amounts of QOL:
    - When you ready up in an empty lobby because people left, the game should just automaticly requeue you for that game type instead of erroring you back into the menu.
    - There should be a possibility to instantly requeue into a fresh lobby from the lobby of a finished game. You don't always want to play with the same people again (because it's an online game and parents to keep their children civilized anymore) but having to leave to the world map and then requeue is just poor QOL
    - The postgame screens.... There's just too many of them. Need to do something like 5 clicks to get through all the separate screens while all the info given in them could just be presented in 1 structured screen. Or give people some kind of 'tabs' they can choose to cycle through if they want to see them but let people leave a postgame screen with just one click, not 5... Maybe even just an instant requeue button on the postgame screen, even better!
    - A nice addition would also be some sort of postgame screen with some interesting stats like: damage done, objective points gathered, longest killchain,... People like stats they can boast about and a game like this can give us more than just KDA.

I can honestly see FH going for the long life if you guys succeed in keeping the game balanced and giving it some QOL love, I'm just hoping a big compagny like yours will listen to the community for those things...

    Greetings,
    a gaming veteran noob

Your first point is one that is known and well taken.

On your second point, in regards to the leavers, Ubi cant do anything about this because the game runs on Peer 2 Peer, not dedicated server. So there isn't any way for them to actually ensure a good connection, since the host is a player. This is what is the LARGEST complaint by far with the game. The person actually hosting the match has lower ping compared to the other players, and therefore he has an easier game and ACTUALLY TIMES his blocks and parries etc, where as everyone else ends up in a crap shoot when it comes to timing.

Because there is no dedicated server, there is no way for Ubisoft to control latency, or leavers.

This was done on purpose by Ubisoft to create a cheap way to host the game, without having to implement a fully functional leaver system, pay for servers and maintenance, and also it allows for no real need for competitive play push by Ubi, they will rely on us players to do it; then they will jump on board and make it seem like they cared all along.

Your final section of points regarding QOL is good. But they wont do it. Ubisoft has a horrid reputation (right there with EA) when it comes to actually listening to their fans or their testers or their player base.

This game is as it is; and much like Destiny with Activision; we wont see any changes to this game. Changes will come in the form of expansions that you must pay to have.

I myself, spent 2 hours this morning trying to play dominion, and only completed 2 games due to the peer 2 peer lag issues. So I will be asking for my my money back. That will be a 100 dollar loss to this company, and I hope many more do the same thing. This was the worst sham of a release I have seen in possibly six years or more by a AAA title.
